Does anyone bring their own pillows on board with them?

My husband and I always bring our own pillows with us when we go on vacation (when we drive not fly). I know it may sound really strange to some of you (and that's ok ;) ) but we are much more comfortable with our own.

We like our own pillows too. If they are too fluffy it hurts my neck. Even if we fly I cram them i my suitecase :)

I always take mine too. I use pak-mates for the pillow and it actually takes very little space in my luggage. I make sure the pillow case is not white so they don't mistake it for theres and haven't lost one yet.

I have not taken my pillow on a cruise before, but I normally take in on my other vacations.

Whenever we drive, I take my pillow from home (and always in a pillowcase that isn't white so it doesn't get confused with the hotel pillows).

HOWEVER, I did not take my beloved fluffy pillow on the cruise, where I found the Fluffiest Cloud Pillows imaginable.

I want one.

Or Two.

Maybe three.

They are divine, nothing less. And I am *Terribly Picky* about my pillows.

Anybody know where I can get one, short of going on the cruise again and swiping it?

My sobakowa (buckwheat) pillow has gone everywhere with me since I first started using it about 10 years ago - including a trip to Mexico and a short stay in the hospital. Can't sleep comfortably without it. DH laughed about my devotion to that "weird" pillow; but now he's using one, too. He doesn't travel with his, though. As long as he brings his CPAP machine along on the cruise and I have my pillow, we'll both sleep well.

I actually took my pillow on our cruise because I had a suitcase half full and I figured I'd need the space for DD's stuff since she was ending her contract and going on vacation.

Wow, did I figure right. The pillow came home with us in her hand since the suitcase was FULL. However the hand was a great place for it since she crashed on the plane coming home. :rotfl2:

Never leave home without it. Like was mentioned before - I make sure I have a colored pillowcase so it is not mistaken or forgotten.

thanks everyone. now i don't feel quite so alone in my "strangeness". ;)

not only do we take our pillows... but DH was so uncomfortable on our bed on our first cruise, that we now travel with a memory foam mattress pad. We just ask our stateroom host to put it under the sheets for us... they always seem happy to oblige (they laugh a little, but they'll do it :rotfl2: )
