Pillowcases and ironons

Next year for our Disney trip I was thinking of having my son collect his autographs on a pillowcase instead of a book that he never looks at. I have a great clip art of a whole bunch of characters in one picture and I would like to put that on one side and the autographs on the other. So now here are my questions. How big can I make the iron on for the clip art and if I used sharpie markers for the signatures will they bleed through?

I did a pillowcase this past summer and the markers definitely run through. Make sure you have something in between.

You could buy fabric pens that wouldn't run.

Here is my other thoughts. Instead of taking the pillowcase to the parks and carrying it around I thought of having the autographs on the the iron on transfers but the signatures would be backwards right? If I used the dark transfer paper would that work better or will it still be backwards? I would rather not walk around with the whole pillowcase and stuff. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.
