If the brand name isn't important to you, think about Five Below. My 6 year old bought one for $5 there, and since it's a novelty item the kids can bore of them quickly. Good thing we didn't spend a lot on it, since she used it for a week and that was about it.

I saw a monkey at Walmart and Walgreens ($19.88 and $19.99). I've never seen a frog in stores.

Here are the assortments:
The most common set is the unicorn, bee, ladybug, and puppy. I've found these at Walmart, Kmart, Target (in the ad this week--but not on sale), CVS, and Bed Bath and Beyond.

The only other set I've seen in stores is the dolphin, monkey, panda, and penguin. I've seen them at Walmart and Walgreens.

My DD 3 1/2 wants a purple unicorn from Santa and she is sure that Santa will bring me a Pillow Pet too.

I got a unicorn for DD9 at Hancocks for 19.99 less a 40% coupon from Joanns (Hancocks takes competitor coupons) total price was $11.99 plus tax. They had the unicorn and the ladybug.

I was in my local Walgreens today and they had the ladybug, puppy, unicorn, monkey, penguin, panda and a blue dolphin that I had not seen before. They were the real Pillow Pets.

I combined Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons and ended up getting 4 of them for $60. They each cost $20, but I had a $10 off $30 coupon & (2) $5 off $15 coupons. Worked out perfectly. It ended up being like a buy 3, get 1 free sale!

Bed Bath & Beyond still takes expired coupons... one of mine that I looked at expired in 2007 & they still took it. yes, I am a pack rat

Update: In case anyone else is interested. I found a frog (knock off) at my local HEB grocery store. VERY cute! He even says "snore/ribbit". THey also had a mooing cow!

If you visit the actual pillow pets website, I believe if you buy more then one, they become discounted. Like the first is $19.99, the second is 15.99 or something similar.

My kids have been asking for them for at least 7months. My DD insisted on the Dalmation one. I kicked myself for not getting for her birthday back in May when it was reasonable. Instead my mom ended up getting it off Amazon for some crazy price. She gave them to the grandkids for Halloween instead of candy. My mom also bought the hippo, frog, and turtle off the official pillow pet website.

I will say though, both of my kids LOVE them. The dalmation pillow pet made my DD "so happy" and both have been sleeping/carthing them around since they got them over two weeks ago. I personally find myself wanting Ms. Sassy Cat who is black and white just like my 19yr old cat. Even my husband loves them. I think that he might get one from Santa, lol!

I ordered 2 today, from the My Pillow Pets website (I hope it was the real website!!!!!!!!) There was no discount, it was 24.99 for the first one, 24.99 for the second one (18" ones) or 15.99 for the first one, 15.99 for the second one (11" ones).

Mypillowpets.com or pillowpets.com are both the real deal, they even show on the website what the official tags look like to determine fake pillows.

The pillowpets.com website actually does discounts for multiple purchases and only appears to have the smaller pillow.

thank you! I searched and sooo many came up. one of those had both I was looking for, but i need to check on the size to make sure they are right. if not, my 9 year old is going to be out of luck for his turtle

ETA: the pillowpets.com doesnt have anything stating size, how do you know which size you are getting??

My DDs (5 & 10) have been wanting one for a long time, I got one today at Wal-Mart the blue Dolphin for DD (10) for Christmas. My other one wants a lady bug one. It cost me $19.00 today. They saw them last week at WDW but it was more expensive than the ones at Wal-Mart, I think they were $25.

I live in Alaska and they wanted to charge for $34 to ship 2 pillow pets No thanks. Just happened to run to walmart and found the penguin and dolphin for 19.99 each

This is the website that I consider official, it has the commerical, but I know there are several pillowpet websites that sell the real deals. This site is the one where I saw the discount.
