Pillow Case or T-shirt Autographs Question

Yep, that's the idea.

No extra cost, just a fun way to get autographs without the hassle.

Fun parting gift that keeps on giving!

Anyone know where to get a Disney pillow case these days (perferably a princess one)

I just looked up the Kmart web-site - Looks like they have them there, so I will take a drive over there and get some -

I understand that these make a great gift, but isn't half the fun of autographs, the actually going up to the characters and seeing your kids faces when they interact with the characters??? It is sort of an achievement...wow, I got another one. As much as it sounds like a hassle free way to get autographs I still feel it lacks something not to get them yourself....

I see where you're coming from, but knowing how shy my 4yo is, I'm guessing that it may be a little difficult (at least initially) to have him pose with a character for the picture, much less ask for an autograph.

That said, without the book and marker, he'll be able to just give a hug when he finally gets used to seeing and interacting with everyone...

Also, my thought is that there will probably be some characters that will be able to sign the item that we don't see. For instance, Stich happens to be one of his favorites. If we never see him, but he still "takes the time to autograph for us," it will mean that much more...

Here's my reasoning why I see the autograph thing as a hassle:

1. I have 2 young girls, 4 and 2. The 2 year old was scared of all of them, and just liked to watch them from a safe distance - about 10 feet. My four year old was more interested in giving them hugs and getting her picture taken with them - and talking to the princesses.

2. IMHO, the characters with no faces - not the princesses - can't talk anyway, so they don't "get to know them." And the princesses would talk directly to my child - face to face - with no pen and book shoved into their hands. It was a more direct conversation and my DD loved it.

3. I was glad that I didn't have to bring the book and pen everywhere we went - because as you know, they are everywhere on the ship, and you never know when you will run into one.

4. Seeing all the little ones standing in line for autographs while they could have been doing something else - ugh! I was so glad that if it wasn't one of my DD's favorite, we could just look at him/her and not have to wait.

5. Maybe my perspective is just because I have young ones. I don't think I deprived them of the Disney experience. They got their autographs - just in a way that was more convenient.

Please don't rip me for my opinoin... if others want to get autographs, that's great. We all want different things out of our trips, and I just didn't want to get into that game - yet.

When do you give them the card - when you drop off or when you pick up? Or should you have two in case the same person isn't there when you pick up?

I gave it to the person I dropped it off to - Ours was not delivered to our stateroom - I had to go pick it up (which is fine with me!) :goodvibes
