I've got tats and piercings and had pink/purple highlights (2x). And I work at a school and no one seems to be permanently scarred by my actions. Actually the last time I had pink hair it was a "graduation" gift to the 6th graders that were leaving- they asked me to do it. It was the best group of kids ever so I couldn't say no.

I have wanted a tattoo for quite awhile. Every time I bring it up DH and DD's look at me like I have 2 heads. I'd be fine having one on my shoulder,ankle or somewhere like that. Maybe someday I'll just go ahead and do it! I think also about getting another piercing in my ear, but since I hardly ever wear earrings, I'm not sure why i want it!

Do you think a certain type of person gets tattoos or piercings(other than the normal ear ones)?

I have both. And I was just wondering if you think people's opinions of me change if they find out.

I mean, I'm a 32yo mom with two kids. Does it make me a bad example for my kids?

You're assuming we thought you were a good example!

Well, my kids know about the tattoo. Not about the piercings.

nah - there's no type - me, i'm 50 and have no piercings or tattoos - both my mother and sister each have earrings going up the sides of both ears (total: 8 earrings each!) - not for me....

I had to let the 2nd holes close on my ears because they were hurting me too much when I put earrings in. I don't think I could've survived 8.

I’ve had my eyebrow pierced (when I was much younger) and I have my tragus pierced (as does my daughter).

DH and I agree about that...no face/neck or hand tattoos. You should be able to cover them for certain occasions.

I remember going to an all nude strip club a few years ago and there was this one girl that had just one piercing....my only thought was OUCH!

And yes it was YEARS ago(thats my story and I am sticking to it!)

My current place of employment doesn't seem to mind Tattoos or Piercings... Although....they did put me on night shift

The one here makes employees put bandaids over them. It makes some of them look like they've been in a serious accident.

There's a supermarket here that does that and just adds to the many reasons of why I won't shop there. I love that the one I do go to doesn't make it a big deal. And seems to hire lots of people with tats, piercings, etc/. One guy has a mohawk and another has dreads. I understand that not everyone likes that, but I think it's cool.

I was there for purely entertainment value. Turned out to be and educational one too!

After her dance she actually sat down and we talked about it. By far the most unique conversation I have ever had with woman that I didnt know about that part of her body. I think her name was stage name was "Tiffany"

I 've seen a picture.... it's soo funny!

When we were at the tattoo place, the artist needed a picture to go by. I have thin lips, and I wasn't into it anyway..there was a young woman with nice full lips in the shop, all she needed was some red lipstick and a napkin but they didn't have the nerve to ask her. DH is an artist by trade, so he ended up illustrating a very nice red pair.
