YUM!!! But what is a derby pie? Never heard of that one. Do you have the recipes for the peppermint one and the reeses one?

Derby pie is like a chocolate chip cookie in a pie shell. Don't know why it's called derby???

As for the recipes, here they are. Be warned that I've never tried either of them, before, but the recipes sounded good to me!

I'm going to have pumpkin pie flavored whipped cream and apple pie flavored whipped cream...I THINK everyone else will just be having the actual pie.

Sugar free apple pie from a local bakery. Would have loved to order it from Briemiere (sp?) Farms out East, but didn't have time this year

In addition to the pie, DS9 and his friend from school are helping me on Wednesday make pumpkin zuchinni bread and homemade cornbread. Both recipes make a enough for DS's friend to take home a loaf and a cornbread.

Here's the recipe for the pumpkin zuchinni bread (another one from AllRecipes.com): http://allrecipes.com/recipe/pumpkin-zucchini-bread/detail.aspx. The cornbread recipe I got from my local library when I went to a cornbread cooking class done by a local company called The Baking Coach.

The pumpkin zuchinni bread recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar. Since DH is diabetic, I substituted 2 cups of Splenda. It came out just as good and was getting compliments from DH's co-workers when he brought in a loaf. They even asked for the recipe!

Wow all these good pies you all are having!! And a pp said 36 expected for dinner....I think that would be fun but I wouldn't know how to give everyone a seat at the table

We have 9 for our Thanksgiving at my inlaws. I'm in charge of dessert. Homemade chocolate pudding pie, apple and pumpkin. I have never had pecan pie, must do that some day.
