Great report Bendy:banana: Love how you write. Feels like I'm there with ya:cool1: Are you a writer? If not you should be.

loved the update, Brenda. Kristin and I sat here and reminisced about our good times at The Ditch too!

I have to say I love your reviews and even your blog but I rarely respond but I felt I must! you guys are the kind of people everyone (i.e. me) hopes to run into in a bar! you all looked like you had a blast and that is EXACTLY what vacation is all about! I too love me a good party hat...no matter the occasion and no matter who is wearing it!

Glad you were able to meet up and make some great new friends! can't wait to read the rest of your reviews!

Thanks very much for posting - you made me smile. :goodvibes

Ditch Day Afternoon, Part II
Tuesday, October 20th - We Spent the Day in a Ditch!

I'm sitting here reading and chuckling to myself when DH says "what's so funny?" So I told him about your threads (including why it's Benda/Bendy instead of Brenda :lmao:, can you tell how long I've been lurking?) Anyway, thanks for the great reviews and commentary! I'm living vicariously through the DIS boards until November. 251 days, not that I'm counting or anything...:rolleyes1

Thank you for the post ... I'm glad you've enjoyed everything we posted. And have a great trip in November ... don't forget to stop at the Ditch! :thumbsup2

I just loved that you all had to pose for a pic wearing the Party Hat! :rotfl2:

Not to mention all the Nacho Hat silliness later. I picture Jay and Jason on the tiny tricycle that Krusty and Homer had to loop de loop on for the mobster. :lmao:

You also managed to snag all my favorite snackables at the The Ditch, except for the chips and salsa. You would have completed my favorite items if you included those. I think you did identify many of the drinks correctly, if my own memory serves me right. I did manage to taste many of the fine beverages on various occasions.

October 9th. I'm heading there after I get off the plane.

It was a fine, fun time. I'm sure we'll be there again this Fall. :rolleyes1

Looks like an absolutly awesome time at the Ditch!

It was!

Absolutely fun review of the "Ditch". LOVED all the photos of the drinks and respectable owners :lmao:
I need to show your review to Tom this afternoon, he'll love it!

Hi Karin; glad you enjoyed the review. We had a great afternoon there with everyone.

Wow! That's a lot of margaritas! I would have been under the table, or dancing on top of it. Tequila makes me loose all my inhabitions. In fact, DH likes it when I drink Tequila! ;)

Glad you all had a great time. Looks like a blast.

I thought about dancing on the bar ala' Pee Wee Herman but I didn't have the right shoes. :lmao: Definitely a fun afternoon!

Totally love that pic at the bottom. Hassaaaaan CHOP!!!

:rotfl2:

Great report Bendy. Love how you write. Feels like I'm there with ya:cool1: Are you a writer? If not you should be.

Can't wait to try the Ditch:banana:

Thanks very much ... I'm not a real writer ... just like to scribble and have fun. And the Ditch is a good good time!

loved the update, Brenda. Kristin and I sat here and reminisced about our good times at The Ditch too!

Thanks Elin! Good times and the Ditch ... :goodvibes

I so want a margarita right now!!!! Of course I have no tequila on hand and the local Mexican restaurant that made fantastic top shelf margaritas closed :sad1: My local Chinese place makes a good one but the only have Jose and Patron and the Patron one is $13.95 :scared1:

A margarita sounds pretty darn good to me right now, too Deb!

And as someone who just recently finished bartender school ... how can you have no tequila? Oh, the horror!! ;)

So funny! My DS would die if he knew I was telling this but he had "The Big Shoe Dance" down pat when he was young.:rotfl2:

Success![/I]

That's our girl! :rotfl2:

It's a set-up!!!

Just about "Flashin' for Freebies" here Bendy?? :lmao:

Looks like a BLAST! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to get there one of these days. That "margarita flight" sounds like my cup of tea (so to speak)!! Great pics, too. Just goes to show that ditching (pun intended) the best laid plans is often a wise choice!!

Wow...after reading about your 5 hour stint in the ditch, all I can say is Uh-Oh....I don't think I'm EVER going to leave there once we all go in next month!! So much for drinking around the world- looks like Mexico may be the only stop!

Great update- LOVE you in ALL hats, Bendy! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Hard to believe I have no tequila, almost of all of my booze has been drunk and with limited funds I haven't been replacing it. Luckily I still have wine and martini fixings :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: I would pay to see that, Kat; I really would. :thumbsup2

Glad you enjoyed our tipsy times, Goose. As to that picture ... I would have been flashing Jay ... it's out of his power to give me free booze. ;)

Looks like a BLAST! :thumbsup2

It was a fun fun time! I want to try the margarita flight the next time we're there, too ... it sounds like a great way to taste some new drinks without having to spend money on the full-size drink.

Jason said the trick, which we learned the "hard" way is to start on the othe side of the WS and finish in Mexico. He said if we try to drink around the world again there is no way we can start at the ditch or we will never leave! :lmao:

Thank goodness you're not dry! We may have to put together an emergency care package for you, Deb!

Make it the last stop - problem solved. ;)

Exactly what Jason said! :lmao:

To say that it looks you guys had a good time would be an understatement! Do you know if you can get margaritas to go from The Ditch? Since we're traveling with a pack of kids on our trip, I don't think we'll be able to work in a sit down visit, but I would dearly love to get one of those babies to sip on while wandering through World Showcase.

I have read all your dining reviews and never commented before (at least I don't think I have), but that afternoon at the Ditch, has made me jealous enough to finally post. It looks like you had a blast. I would love to spend an entire evening there just trying out the yummy margaritas. I've only tried one so far, the Avocado Margarita (so very good), but you've given me ideas for my September and December trips.

Thanks for reading Heather! I'm pretty sure if you order at the bar you can get your margarita to go ... you might double check with Catherine just to be on the safe side but I think I'm right. :goodvibes

Hello there and thanks for reading and posting - I love how boozie good times bring people out of lurkerdom, even if it's just for a moment. :goodvibes

We had so much fun ... how could we not? Hmmmm, I'm trying to remember if we've tried the avocado margarita ... maybe Jason did. I really want to try that sampler they offer ... it seems like a good way to get a taste of a couple of different things without committing to a full-sized portion of something you might not like.

Hope you enjoy your upcoming trips and are able to try many delicious and smile inducing margaritas! :goodvibes

I am all caught up and insanely jealous! WOW! I don't know what else to say other than I so want to hang out with you guys down there or anywhere that alcohol is served :lmao:

Can't wait for the rest of the day, or at least what you remember of it ;)
