That place looks amazing! :thumbsup2 Will have to tell DH we need to try it.

Glad you're back. Hope you had a good trip!

We thought it was terrific - can't wait to try it again this fall.

And we had a great time in San Diego - didn't want to come home. :goodvibes

Putting Il Mulino on my list. That sounds fabulous! And welcome to the wonders of Limoncello...I have a bottle in my freezer right now!

It's Denver Restaurant Week here this week and I had a chance to eat at Restaurant Kevin Taylor last night. I paid the $10 upcharge to try the seared Foie Gras. I didn't hate it but angels didn't sing either (they did for the braised lamb shank raviolis with sheep's milk gouda for the next course!). Is foie gras just supposed to be a fatty taste?

I keep tossing around a visit to Il Mulino-like your stinktown steakhouses, Italian and seafood joints are a dime a dozen by us, so we normally skip that stuff. I like the half portion option because my eyes are always bigger than my stomach. Might have to go on our list during F&W. Thanks for sharing your experience. :goodvibes

for the foodists who haven't heard yet - as of this year, Il Mulino accepts Tables in Wonderland.

Il Mulino is officially going on the wish list. If not for the limoncello alone! But that pasta looked pretty darn good too! And LOVE that you can order half portions! Can't wait to try it. Thanks for another great recommendation! :)

That looked great. I checked out the menu on Allears too. Prices aren't unreasonable at all. ::makes mental note for the future::

We went to Il Mulino last week and it's now our favorite!!! We had the tuna carpaccio and it was fantastic! Thanks for the great review!:goodvibes We enjoyed the complimentary Limoncello as well!!!!

I am so glad you and Jay loved IM as much as Todd and I did back in Oct....you ate there on my b-day night!

It is sooo much better than TI and I think the Swalphin has the best restaurants, excellent food and service (high price ;)) and never that busy!

We'll definetly be trying this one. Everything looked fantastic and the parmesan cheese and the carpaccio :lovestruc Beef carpaccio is one of my absolute favorites. For Ricks 50th b-day I ordered it (not the first time) and shared it with my oldest step son. He didn't know what to do when he put it in his mouth :lmao: I'm trying with these kids but all except the youngest are extremely picky!

I've been waiting for you to come back and post this review. (Wonderful as always - but what is the glop? Anyone know?) Since the Swalphin restaurants were added to the TIW, we've been kicking around one of them for arrival night, if we can get in on a Friday three months out. We narrowed down our choices to Blue Zoo or Il Mulino. Decisions, decisions.

Looks like I want to fit this in either October or December. Even the gloop. Which looks like eggplant gloop to me. Still looks like tasty gloop. I just like saying gloop, or couldn't you tell?

It was very tasty eggplant gloop!;)

Another great review Brenda! We might have to try it again - just for the Lemoncello! YUMMMMMM!
I love beef carpaccio and that picture looks amazing - I am also with you on the Augustus Gloop - looks like ...blah
Did you remember a steak on the menu? I have a couple people that might be going at that time and they love the steak at flying fish and this might be a new option with them!:dance3:

You didn't have to leave.. the room is still here and Kabuki misses Jay!

SIDE BAR-Did you know the caramels that you brought us were a single serving size!? The salt ones are now my new favorite candy and they go very well with a 12 year beverage you gave us! :cloud9:
