I am headed to NC on Tuesday for the holiday. I am making pumpkin and pecan pies on Monday to take. Of course, not eaten until Thursday.

Would you just keep them refrigerated or should I freeze them?

TIA

Yes, pumpkin pie uses eggs and is a baked custard. Should be refrigerated after baking once cooled. Not familiar with the ingredients in a pecan pie.

Yes, I am definitely refrigerating both even though one is stable. I just can't decide if I want to freeze them or if 3 days in the fridge will keep as well. I will reheat them in the oven on Thursday.

Thanks for all the replies!

Moi...I'd refrigerate the pecan pie, as they keep really well. The pumpkin, I'd freeze the crust, then take the crust along to fill and bake when you reach your destination. Pumpkin pie filling isn't too complicated. Easy to fill and bake.
