Pictures with CMs

Hi there!

Hope there isn't another thread with this (I did check)...but has anyone bothered getting pictures with CMs??? I think one with the TOT CMs would be cool...sorry I don't have any to share but maybe you guys have some???? Even if you aren't in them..just to see the different 'uniforms' would be pretty neat!

I look forward to seeing some!!

I always feel a bit silly to ask for a photo with a CM.

I was going to ask one of the (particularly attractive ) female Pirates CM's for a photo with me, but I thought I'd come across as being a bit pervy...

Don't know why. I guess, without taking the magic out of it, they're just doing their job of operating queues/rides - I guess the last thing they need is people dragging them to the side for a photo.

There is, of course, potential privacy issues too.

I've seen plenty of TOT and POTC CMs posing for pictures. They can always say no I guess!

I operated rides at a major London theme park called Chessington World of Adventures, and there have been occasional cast members to have their picture taken with guests.
It actually makes the job more fun for us operators/platformers because working on the rides is a lot of fun, but so is the interation with the guests.

I took some with CM's last year but not this time around ... I love all their costumes, the attention to detail is just fab

I think it was hildasmuriel who took a fab photo of her DD with a TOT CM shortly after it opened. I think it's in her Christmas trippie.

Ware Bears...thanks for that...I actually remember that one!!! Now thats what I'm talking about..what a cool pic!!

Emma...I know what you mean, we saw the Lion king guys that do the drums at the beginning in the warm up bit....I SOOO wanted to ask for a photo but couldn't find the nerve to do it...now I think I was stupid cause the worst they would have said is no!!

britchic4...yeah exactly and over in America I think they ask all the time cause I've seen the proof!!

Tillybud....you're so right the detail in them is superb!!

LouiG...I feel at the end of the day the job of a CM is JUST as important as a Character job!!!

Malton Seadog...hey as long as you're a good looking perv who cares? But on the other issue you talk about..I think their job is JUST as important, I think they are part of the magic too...if they turned up at work in jeans and top how rubbish would that look?....I think if its quiet I might ask them..if its very busy at a ride the chances are they will be in no mood to get a pic taken????.......mmmmmm its plucking up the courage really eh?

I've not plucked up the courage to ask if I could be photographed with them, but I have asked CM's if I can take a photo of them. This is one of my faves - he's lovely isn't he ?

I'm hoping to get a pic with a CM from the TOT as they look so cool and i'm not able to go on the ride itself which i'm SO gutted about! Gonna make up for it with the merchandise instead though and pics of it lol.
I didnt get any CM pics last time but i did get my photo took with a waiter in Cafe Mickey.

Yes it was taken just inside Phantom Manor. Some of the friendliest CM's I've found are in BTM and POTC, they really get into character. I'd like to get some pics of the CM's with the Riverboats, but there always seems to be crowds of people around them.

Can't remember when it was but one year we were waiting for the rope drop...we were the only ones there think it was BTM end of town..the CM there was brilliant totally getting the craic with her and I remember her wearing purple velvet..you know what I can't remember where it was but wish I had her photo..she was well cool!!
The TOT ones scare me...I kinda get this stupid nervous laugh, I had one guy breathing down the back of my neck and folk were laughing ...I wanted the ground to swallow me up!!....its not like they laugh with you eh? They just stare at you for ages then move on and you're left there feeling like a numpty!!

I have to agree the PM and POTC CM's seem to be up for a photo and they really get into their character ... last year my daughter who was just one decided she really wanted the plastic sword the guy at POTC was carrying, it was so funny ! Pleased she didn't repeat that behaviour this time around otherwise (we're at the terrible twos stage) there would have been tears and tantrums !
