Does anyone have any pictures they'd like to share of their kid's faces painted like they do in the Animal Kingdom? My DD is thinking she'd like to get her face painted this time... maybe like a cat... no a lion... no all sparkley... :rotfl2: She doesn't know, lol. I thought if I could show her some pictures she'd get a better idea of what I'm talking about!

BTW... Single digit dancing here!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I have a picture of my niece painted in a sparkly theme, but I can't post it here since I don't have her mom's permission. I'd be happy to e-mail it to you.

Hi,
Here is a pic of 2 of my daughters when they got
their faces painted in Toontown.
Facepainting
Both of these cost around $12.00 at the time(Feb. 2004).
Good Luck

my dd got her face painted on the boardwalk, not in the park but I happen to have a pic on my computer so thought I'd share. I believe it was called a "butterfly princess" or something like that.

ALostBoy - Soooo cute! DD is sitting me me, and loves your daugher's faces! Thanks for the cost info, too.

NJDisneymom - was your DD sleeping or posing for the picture, lol? I told DD her face was called 'butterfly princess' ... well, she now wants to be a butterfly princess, lol.

She was sleeping, she conked out on the way back to the resort and DH just laid her on the bed like that. When I woke her up to go wash her face she screamed, she wanted to keep it on till we got home. :rotfl2:

Oh too cute! Yep, that would be my DD too. Whenever we get DDs haircut at the MK and they put the colored gel and all the sprinkles in her hair she asks if she can leave it in to show her friends at home :)

Oh and I just realized we're heading back to the World on the same day! :cool1:

Ok, I have never posted pics before, lets see if i can do this right...
If the pics show up, they are from our last trip in fall 2003. My only suggestion would be, if it is hot out or your kids sweat a lot, save this for later in the day, otherwise you will be constantly wiping the driping makeup... it does come off when they sweat!
After the money we spent on these, only my dd, niece and sis in law were left at the end of the day.. the boys were so sweaty we had to go in and wash them off! :(
My little princess done up as princess dot...

Wow, everyone's face painting looks really great! :earboy2:

Here's my question, we are going in June of this year, does the paint sweat off easily or does it stay on pretty well? I'm sure we will be sweating buckets!

Here is my opinion on the sweating issue...
all 8 of us had our faces done... 4 adults, 5 kids...
me, sis in law and niece are the only ones who made it home looking at all like we were supposed to!

My hub and bro sweat too much apparently cuz it was just running down their faces.... they had to go to the bathroom within half an hour of having it done adn wash it off!
My then 9 yr old ds was pretty ok, till his face itched from the sweat, adn when he touched it, it came off....
My then 5 yr old ds was ok, until we went on Kali River Rapids... he got drenched and needless to say off to the bathroom we went to wash it off!
My then 2 yr old dd, was ok, until she rubbed it on her stroller, one of us or rubbed her eyes from being sleepy... then it came off!

If we do this again, it will be towards the end of the day.
For our family of 5, we spent just over 50$ which was fine, but to have it wiped/washed off of most of us within a couple hours was sad!
I have heard they do them at the boardwalk too, so maybe since that is planned for an evening this trip, the kids can do it again...

I love the pictures. I cannot wait to get son's face done when we go. Are there a lot of options for boys or mostly girl designs?

to answer your ? pauldavid'smom
when we went in 2003, had the above pics done at AK, there were tons of choices!
Lots for both boys and girls... adults too!
The kids loved it! They were amazing! Not your typical balloon on the cheek thing!

How much does the face painting cost. You don't happen to know if they do just the top half of the face for boys either do you. My oldest ds would love it but has a mix of cp/encephlopath ad drewls especially when his nose is stuffy and its allergy season right now. If it comes off with sweat the lower part of his face would be a mess by the end of the day with the drewling

i cannot remember exactly if they had half face paintings for boys or not...
my hubby and brother got theirs done, and it was not a full face like our boys...
hubby got some kind of tribal markings basically on his forehead and cheek, bro got another tribal sort of thing, forehead, top of nose, cheeks ...

As for price, if memory serves me correctly, they were all around 10$ each. Some a bit more, some a bit less!
I remember our family of 5 spent around 50-60 total... and they do take credit cards!
