Hello everyone,
For our wedding we are going to take pictures in Disneyland park. I know you can't have formal clothes on so we are just going to dress up in nice white clothes.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a nice place to take pictures that won't draw a lot of attention and will be seculded but still pretty. I dont want to draw much attention or be in the way. Thanks.

Great Question! Also, I would like to know how much is the pictures in the park package and can any wedding intimate/custom get this package? What time did you have to get up and get ready? Was it the day of/after your ceremony? The pictures that I have seen from other board memebers are absolutely breathtaking and sooo cute, something (depending on cost) that I would love to consider!

I just wanted to say hello and welcome to you both! It looks like you're relatively new to this board.

I really don't have much info for you, but am sure someone will be along soon who does.

Shellncesar-I know Magic Kingdom like the back of my hand, but have never been to DL....most on this board are WDW brides, but hopefully someone will be along soon that knows a little about DL in order to help you out!

Congrats and happy planning to you both!

It sounds like you are doing this on your own? Not as an in-the-park-before-it-opens thing, right?

If so, here are a few suggestions -

- go first thing in the morning. If you can get the early toontown entry, even better

- best photo spot for standing front of castle, other than directly in front is... approach castle, turn left down the little walkway, stand on that overway with your back to the castle

what other kinds of pictures do you want? Kissing on the in-ride photos in always a cute picture

We had our wedding at WDW but as one of our favors we gave a picture frame and took the picture in DL. We weren't really dressed up or anything but we took some nice shots in front of the castle, we also have shots from the Buzz Lightyear ride and character shots are always fun. Here is the thread with the 2 pictures we were deciding from. Hopefully this helps.

I know there are some little coves over in New Orleans square that have some pretty flowers and that southern feeling. Maybe it would be a good idea to take pictures in all of the lands. I kind of wanted to take the pictures in different areas. Although the castle is niced, especially decorated with gold for the 50th, it is too crouded and expected. Plus, there will be a group of about 20 we want to fit in the pictures so we have to be able to get all of us in there. :grouphug:

disneybride2b - there is 2 photo packages available at mk at wdw. the honeymoon package which is open to any wdw guest is casual attire $295 which includes 24 photos in a disney folio. then there is the mk bridal session which is only available to dftw intimate & custom couples, in their wedding attire for $800 before the park opens & includes 12 photos in a disney folio.

okay...ideas for a group photo of 20 people

1. Get your group all abord the upper level of the riverboat - with someone on land to take the photo

2. Get your your all in a canoe, get someone in a second canoe to go alongside and take photos

3. Your whole group on one of tom sawyers rafts

4. On one of the DL trains, there is space for two people to sit up front by the engineer. You two could sit up front with your group directly behind you

5. Gather your group at the top level of the exit bridge from autopia - shoot photo from down below by Club Buzz (Can do same kind of photo on upper landing of space mountain)

6. Your whole group filling all the monkeys cages and such on Casey Jr train

7. Your group on the carousel

8. Your group on the horse dran trolley OR the upper level of the double decker bus

9. Your group in a small world boat - have photographer set up on the exit ramp above by toy store

I believe that the cost for inpark photos for DLR FTW has increased to $800. They do it before park opening, so ~6am. I know that in the past couples have been able to do them after park closing as well. Also in the past couples were able to take pictures at a variety of locations throughout the park but in the last year were restricted to just the castle area.

All the responses are referring to WDW only but ShellnCaesar is asking about Disneyland in California. I know that Disneyland no longer allow castle photo shoot. That's why she wants to know where she can take her own (in a white little dress instead of a wedding gown) during the park hours.

ShellnCaesar, correct me if I am wrong. I only been there once so I am not familiar with the park there. Sorry! (I remember it is very similar to the MK though)

I would try Small World and Indiana Jones. Personally, I would string them together to form a montage. (ie Small World that we met, and Indiana Jones represents the adventure for the rest of our lifes....the planning for the wedding Mission Space, etc.) Just my .02

This is true, but I think some were trying to answer DisneyBride2B's questions. This is exactly what is so great about this board, we have people on here who know something about jjust about everything! I don't know what I would have done without you all to help me!

I have the honeymoon portrait session booked for Dec 1, and it was $298 for 24 photos in a dinsy album. He said that extra photos would be loose in the box, which led me to believe that I will actually get more than 24 photos for that price. Has anyone done this, and how many pictures did you end up getting? Thanks!

Thanks for all the answers, pictures in the park seem so exciting! Heather, you also bring up a very good point, with the package do you get only the 12/24 photos because the album only has that amount, or do you have the option of getting some or all of your proofs as well?

PS- sorry if I got lost about the disneyland/world picture opportunity

chumbo you are correct about the photos...DL FTW no longer offers the in-park photo opportunity...

Seems to me that bridegirl gave some wonderful ideas for DisneyLAND...

DFTW has one year from the date of the wedding to have them taken.

We're looking at doing it next fall. Our wedding goes until midnight... I really have no interest in getting up for hair nad make-up at 4:30 or 5:00 that day!

Thanks a lot for everyone's suggestions and comments. Thanks especially to bridegirl. Those locations were awesome. I never thought of any of those. I will definately consider doing those. Thanks for all your help!!!
