Pictures From Your Part of the World

The winds were gusting up to 100kph today, and actually there was a school near our house that had its roof blown off and flights at the airport were delayed by up to two hours. It made treacherous passage for many, and I saw many sailboats who were having a bit of trouble, but it sure made for a clear day.

Here's a few from a little shoot I did with a buddy of the Boston Skyline as seen from the Hyatt Logan Airport Hotel:

Mayra...wonderful pics.... my husband is a firefighter and will just love these! I can't wait til he gets home so I can show them to him:thumbsup2

Some photos I took whilst trying out my new camera (all in our little town called Saffron Walden, UK - it's between Cambridge and London)

On the first one above (of the houses), can anyone tell me how I would need to set the camera to make the buildings look brighter against the sky, please? (if that makes sense). Or would I just have to come back at a different time of day?!

And here are a few I took in London (Trafalgar Square) the other day - again, you'll see I haven't worked out how to take decent photos when the sky is grey! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

And Banff Townsite ...

These pics (especially the one above) brought back so many memories! Banff is one of the prettiest places I've ever been too!

Here are some from DC (since there is really nothing to take pictures of in my neck of the woods...)

Ooh! Can I play too??

I'll have to look out some of my trips around Scotland, but meanwhile, here's some of London last week.

The London Eye as the sun was going down.

A closer shot of the capsule next to us. This was at the very top of the circle. And yes, my hands were sweating! :scared1:

Please excuse the less than perfect horizon and the reflection of the glass. At least it show that it was sparkling clean.:thumbsup2
