I know!! It's like, 'Wow, it's time to pack..that means we're leaving!....But that means we have to pack *sigh*' lol
And I never unpack at the hotel. I just live out of my suitcase. I'm too worried I will leave something!

On shorter trips I never bother unpacking either, but I always unpack once we get to the house. Then on our last day I run around the house like a chicken without a head (I hate that expression, yet I use it anyway :rotfl) making sure I have everything! I'll admit that I've forgotten a few things back at the house but it was never anything important, thankfully!

I can't believe you leave tonight! Have an absolutely amazing time!

DH insists we unpack at a hotel, unless we are only there for one night - and then he packs everything again to go home. I guess he likes to feel settled.
All I do is get everything ready and put it on the bed (for all three of us!) and HE does all the actual placing in the suitcases. lol We have a "system".

That sounds like a good system!! I'll have to mention this to Darren, make him do all the suitcase loading!

I'm overexcited because the first day of spring semester is tomorrow and I was all bummed, but I only have one class on Fridays and it was canceled for tomorrow so I have three more days of winter break!



It's still no Disney, though, so live it up enough for all of us still stuck at home!

WHEW! What a trip...we arrived home safe and sound around 12pm today...and I'm pooped! I can't wait to tell y'all all about it and show the tons of pictures we took.
But for now, bedtime! I missed my bed
I'll be updating soon (probably not tomorrow, since DH is off...We need to recover from the car lag lol)

Day 1. January 24th. Part 1

Ok, so Darren went into work as usual. He calls me at 9am, they let him leave since he was leaving for vacation that night. So he brought us breakfast from McDonald's and we ate, then took a nap.

We woke up around 1 and went to my mom's to visit for awhile. Darren left to get me some books to read, and get himself some more hats. I stayed and spent some time with my nephew.

Then around 7pm, Darren's parents came over and brought us all dinner from a mexican restaurant. We ate, then went to load up the van with our luggage:

C'mon, you can do better. We're going to Disney World!

Then we were on our way! We left at 8:30pm. Stopped to fill up the van in Slidell, then drove, drove, drove.
Mr. Darren started to get tired around 10:30, so we stopped at a gas station for Darren to take over. While I was in the bathroom, Darren found me some barbeque Corn Nuts (My favorite!) and Mr. Pibb (Another favorite!) So we paid for that and went on our way.

At 11:41pm, we passed the Florida state line. Alot more driving to go! After about 3 hours, Mr. Darren took over driving again.

It is, it is!

We got to our hotel at about 7:30am. That's losing an hour with the time change. So it took us about 10 hours to get there. Not too bad.

It felt so good to be here! We got in line for check in and didn't have to wait for a person. We requested king beds, and the two rooms close together if possible. The lady was kind of new I think, so she asked the manager, DJ. He was really nice and helpful. He said he could see what he could do.
He said, "See, I'm helpful, even though I graduated from Ohio State." (Darren was wearing his LSU hat and shirt. LSU beat Ohio State in the National Championship.)
Darren laughed and said, "Well, you must hate me then!"
And DJ said, "No, I love y'all, just not your shirt and hat." It was funny.
