Well, we are moving along here with some more pictures. This
morning, the day after the Busch Gardens, run-Dan-into-the-ground DIS
meet, with a five 20-something DIS'ers, plus one four or five year old (j/k,
ladies), I awakened with an unbelievably sore back. I was supposed
to meet DIS'er, Wedway72, aka Bruce, along with his wife, Kris, at the Crystal
Palace for an early morning (before park opening) breakfast. Bruce and
Kris were celebrating their anniversary. I had seen some of the great
pictures Bruce had posted on the DIS (check
out Bruce's Disney site) and was looking forward to, among other talk,
to chat a bit about photography 'stuff'. Well, with my back as it was,
barely able to move, I knew I was not going to be hustling on over to the MK for
a jaunt up Main Street, at least not this morning. I called over to the CP
and talked to the podium manager to alert Bruce and Kris I would be a no-show
for breakfast. I was really bummed, as I was looking forward to meeting
some DIS folks I had not yet had the opportunity to have yet met. That
taken care of, I went back to bed to rest a bit. Mid morning, I got up and
booted up my laptop to check in on the DIS a bit. I was moving slow,
LOL. I started to loosen up a bit by the afternoon and thought I would
make today just a leisurely day of taking pictures, first around the
Swan-Dolphin Resort area, and then later on, a short Friendship boat ride away
over to MGM. Just pictures, no rides, no attractions, no other
DIS'ers. Just me and my camera.

If pictures don't load well on dialups, let load for a bit then try refresh
several times, you should get it eventually.

I had stopped by the club room to grab a bite to eat late morning.
While there, I took several pictures from the high up vantage point. Here,
the main ballroom of the Swan in the foreground, Tower of Terror off in the
distance. Rock n' Roller Coaster to the right and the Earful Tower between
the two.

I made my way down to the Grotto pool area, a 3 acre
pool/beach/waterfall/flowers/slides/hot tubs. It is a most beautiful
area. When I was there, the sky was quite cloudy, giving me a bit of a
hard time with lighting, but here are some pictures of the Grotto area, along
with shots of the resorts from there. This is the Dolphin in the

Great Pics Dan!!! Now with the Discon planning starting this make it that much more fun.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I stayed in the Dolphin at my last WDW trip and you brought back alot of memories with those pictures.. THANKS DAN!

Dan, these were absolutely beautiful. You have me very excited for my stay at the Swan in December. I love the pictures of the sky at night with the colors of the suset reflecting on the clouds. Those were just breath taking! Thank you so much for these!!

I especially enjoyed this batch of photos and seeing the Swan and Dolphin again! They make me really excited for our next stay there, even though it's months away!

Still looking up, not the bicycle and grill on the balcony above Mama

I never noticed the bike and grill before! That's a new one for me!

What beautiful pictures!!!! Thank you!:)

Thanks Dan for the wonderful stroll through the Swan/Dolphin and MGM! I really enjoyed our stay at the Swan earlier this spring - looking forward to spending even more time there in December at DIS CON. :)

You know what touched me most? The maid having your Chicago Mickey! I thought that was very sweet.

AWESOME PICS Dan!!! Thanks for sharing......

You always take the Best "Postcard" Pictures.;) Ever thought of selling any of these?;) (It would pay for a lot of WDW trips!).;)

once agian thanks Dan for a great job. makes me wish i was there.

Dan, Those were great(as usual!) I'm sure it's time consuming to sort through the many pictures to post, but they sure are appreciated:D It's neat how I can yell downstairs to my 8yr. old, Jeremy and say "Mr. Murphy's got more pictures", and hear the thump-thump-thump up the stairs to see them with me.

Thanks again:D

I'm like the guy at the Grotto pool, I like your Nikon too!:) What great pictures Dan. Hope the old back got better quickly though! What a bummer to have a backache at WDW!

Boy that took forever to load, but it was so worth it!

Love this one the most:

Thanks Dan!

I don't have too much computer time lately, but when I do I always go straight for your picture threads:)
I feel like I'm there again.
I love the "Looking Up" ones.

Thanks Dan
