The photographer is a friend (he did my senior pics, engagement, wedding, and my college senior pics... he will probably do pregnancy and baby pics when they come) So, about 600 pro pics, with tons of other stuff too was $4200... it is EXPENSIVE! The video was another $3200. But they are both worth so much more now! The full video is amazing.
Yes, WVV is near Portland. It is actually right below our capital Salem. We have so many beautiful vineyards here and there are some great wine tours. But, it isn't nearly like Napa... but Napa doesn't have the Nike Corporate headquarters and hour away!
The wedding canopy (huppah) is in hebrew. It has the seven wedding blessings circling into the middle. We comissioned it to match our Ketubah (Jewish marriage licence). Actually, both are in hebrew... but the Ketubah can be in english. They are really a cool idea even if you aren't Jewish. There are ones that are all in non-religious text or you can do custom texts. It is cool! Ours is traditional though.
MY disclaimer: We KNOW how fortunate we are that my parents allowed us to have everything. We went with the expensive items on the things that last... pictures and video. So, please, don't give me a hard time about how much we spent.
