*sorry about the cut across his chin, I forgot to take a picture before I cut it.

Thanks,

There was a lady in the last row who thought we were about to go over the falls. :rotfl2:

That's on Maelstrom, right? If so, I know exactly how that lady felt! We had always ridden this at night, so we hadn't really noticed the whole "you're about to go over the falls outside" effect since it was also dark outside. Well, on our last trip we rode it in daylight and the "you're about to go over the falls" actually really scared us because we didn't remember it being part of the ride! :scared1: :rotfl2:

It is in AK, but I cant tell you exactly where. It was my first time to AK and I was just sanpping away, not paying attention to where I was!

In the Imagineering Field Guide to Animal Kingdom, it has a picture of it in the Discovery Island section of the book, but it doesn't specify exactly where it is. :confused3

YECKIM - Nice "self portrait". :)

Gdad - Excellent gravestone pic! :hmghost: And yes, it's Friday. ;) :woohoo:

DisneyMom5 - How cute and what an appropriate title! :)

Groucho - Awesome TOT perspective! :wizard: Is that Everest I see waaaay back there?

SC Mouse Fan - I like the peaceful mood of your Castle pic. :thumbsup2

alan_refoe - Very nice Epcot pic! :)

That's the one. It was rather amusing to watch this lady get a bit freaked and then to see the look of relief when she realized what was happening. Her family got a good chuckle as well,

When was this? I was on it a quite a few years back, sitting in the second last row with my DD and I pointed out the waterfall to my friend and her 13 year old son in the last row. She proceeded to try to climb out of the boat.:rotfl2: :lmao:

I like TOT too, but I can't imagine trying to take a picture on it. I am too busy holding on for dear life. When we went in 1998, I would not go on it but in 2003 I decided if my kids and thousands of others went on it, it couldn't be dangerous. So I am getting more used to the ride each time I go on it. I still have to be along the wall so I can hold on to the handle that is there. How do you keep your camera from flying around once you drop?
I never hang on! :lmao: My wife rode it once and refuses to ride it again. (She's got a bit of vertigo!) I told her that her problem was that she was hanging on to the little handles by your hips (I assume you're aware of them, you don't need to be at the edge to have something to hang on to) - it's best IMHO to not hang on to anything, and just "float free" rather than pull yourself down. This leaves my hands free to hold the camera up.

Thanks! I had to check the shot at 100% and Google Earth, and that's actually Blizzard Beach. (Surprisingly enough, that one did not get the 3D treatment on Google Earth...) The phony snow gives it the white color, at 100% you can make out the big slide a little bit, but the camera focused on the lettering outside the ToT building so it's a bit fuzzy.
