One year ago this weekend we began the "Great Texas ArticCold Adventure" ! Coldest weather I've experienced in my 70+ years; our lowest temperature was 9 with actual 4 entire days of freezing weather...the weather forecast was optimistic! Started at the Friday night soccer game; DD brought a huge amount of hot chocolate she passed out to everyone at the game! By Monday (Valentine's Day) Allie's dorm lost power and was being heated by a generator; it got down to 40 degrees in their room! We don't get those cold temperatures in South Texas!
