I'm using my FUZZY SOCKS from DGD for Christmas tonight! We were at 73 at noon today; as I get ready to call it a day, 14 hours later, it's 33! Quite a change for Southerners! (DD said it was 47 this morning at Disney World! They were glad they had their jackets with them!)
According to our church calendar, today is the last day of the Christmas season. Time for decorations to come down and we start the boring season of income tax preparation, yearly doctor checkups, dull front yard with no lights to brighten the night and quiet streets until spring break as the kiddos go back to school.
BRRRR; certainly a good day to stay indoors! Our wind chills this week have been in the 20's; snow in North Texas today. I've seen some spots report 7-8 inches which is a lot for us!
Here in South Central Texas we've had a cold, rainy day; 38 and over 2 inches of rain. Dreary day for my dreary mood . Nice visit this late afternoon with DGD before she ends her Christmas break in the morning and heads back to Florida with a weekend stop over in New Orleans for a weather related conference. Sure has been nice having her "pop in" the back door this past month; already discussing our next Florida trip to visit her.
