I interned there after college for a few months back in 1981. Promised I would go back...took 37 years but I made it in 2018.

Glad you got to see it again! This is my absolute favorite NP out of the 22+ ones I've visited. I may have hiked up/down one of the trails that you took this photo on (see below) in 2009. This was my first trip with a dSLR and I gave it a workout that trip staying in Seattle, Rainier and Olympic NP.

Woke up this morning to high wind warnings and then saw these dust storm clouds as I drove back from Target. At least these clouds later brought some rain to alleviate our "Red Flag" fire danger warnings.
