Spent the last few days at the ShowStoppers National Dance Competition watching DGD's dance company earn a 1st place Overall Award and Platinum Award for their tap number, Crazy Little Thing Called Love :

The storm surge from Hurricane Ike in 2008 flooded much of Galveston Island. It was discovered over the next few months that many of the great oak trees were dying from the salt. Some of the homeowners cut the trees and hired woodcarvers to "perform their magic". This is one of my favorites...the Tin Man and Toto:
