Picture at Chef Mickeys?

Hi all! Have a question. We have never eaten at Chef Mickey's but will on our upcoming trip in May and was wondering do they take a group picture before your meal like at Cinderella's Table and Spirit of Aloha? I seem to remember something about pictures being taken in front of a big plate???? Or maybe I'm just crazy!!!! Thanks for any help!

They do take the picture, I don't think it has the big plate any longer. When we went in August we decided not to have our picture taken.

When we went to Chef Mickey they had the big plate. Have not been recently so I don't know if it is still there. They take you picture before your seated. Then while you are having your meal they stop by the table and show you the picture and ask if you want to buy it. You can see how it came out before you plunk down the money.

We bought the first one but the second time we went my DS blinked and we didn't like the look so we just said no thank you.

We felt horribly rushed through our photo. Didn't like how it turned out, and felt like we couldn't ask to use our own camera. Wish we had, as it wasn't a problem anywhere else.

We considered going back to try again after our meal, but we were ready to get outta there. I wasn't too impressed with the whole experience, but we did get some nice character shots at our table. I just wish we would have the picture of all of us.

It was a statue of Mickey holding a plate. Don't remember if there was a big plate in the background. This was right before Christmas. They had a hard time getting my kids to pose nicely and not mess with the statue. The whole time I felt like they just wanted us to smile and leave.

At Akershus, it felt a little rushed, but they were nicer about it.

The photo packages are sooo expensive too- something like $30+??? If you buy the package, you can add it to photopass for your CD, but if don't buy it, you get nothing.

the plate is gone. I just remember the smallish statue of Mickey.

I seem to remember some years ago the picture was with Goofy.

We went to CM back In July for breakfast....it was great IMO...here's the pic we got.
I didnt like the pic but oh well....it was early in the morning for us.....still asleep! The photo packs are pricey and if I would've known at the time we could've just added it to our photopass....I would not have bought the photo pack...but I do know now!!

Hi. One correction - you can only add it to your photopass AFTER you buy the package, so you're still in for the $35, but it's cool to be able to manipulate it and add borders, the way you did!! It looks good.

I was wondering if it was like at CRT and Spirit of Aloha where the picture is included w/ price of your meal and you don't pay OOP for it. At least you get to see if before you decide to buy though!

Oh... I see...that would explain why the photopass # was on the receipt and they did not offer it at time of photo...thanks for info!
