DH is making me ask lol. He's particularly interested in the Porterhouse. I'm intersted in any food porn from here ;) TIA!

I believe that we have a picture of the porterhouse and the ribeye.

1) As you can see, there is meat.
2) But, you can also see that presentation is wanting.
3) Big bucks and little sight appeal.

Our Ratings of Yachtsman Steakhouse:
. . . food price value: C
. . . food quality: C
. . . food quantity per serving: B

NOTE: The Yachtsman has a decent selection of steaks for the
carnivore among us. The steaks are tasty, but the plate presentation
does not come up to the high prices. If you want to graze and
don't care about how the meal looks, this can be the place for you.

Thanks for the pics and info guys! It was either this one or LeCellier and I decided to go w/ Yachtsman since the menu @ LC doesn't appeal to me much anymore :(

I will totally agree on presentation...especially with the porterhouse. The taste was to die for, but the look of it...not so much.

Thank you for posting this question and big thank yous to those who posted replies.

This restaurant is on our list for our next visit. It wasn't on our radar at all until now.

I'm curious about the non-steak entrees at Yachtsman. Are they also just stuck on a plate without presentation? How about the sides, are they more interesting, or the same as the steaks? I currently have an ADR at Yachtsman. We're on the DxDP and are staying at the YC, but those pics are not exciting me.

Not sure about the non-steak entrees. The only thing we have ever ordered was steak. If you have never tried the Yachtsman and you're staying at the YC, I would probably keep my ressie. The steak really is great! The pictures look worse than they really are. Yes, the presentation isn't fabulous, but I would still return without hesitation. If you are a dessert fan, then you'll be very pleased with the selections.

Scup, you're starting to sound a bit "gourmondish" me thinks.

I actually read your review last year before we went to the Poly with the DxDP. Your Yacthsman review sounded and looked pretty good. I currently don't have a plan B (except for room service, which is always a possibility), so for now I'm keeping it. Although I wish I would get something between 5:45 and 6:15 pm (currently, ADR is 6:45 pm, a little late for us).

Thanks for those pics! Those are a little better than some that I have seen.

Both times we have been, we arrived fairly early. They seated us within minutes. In fact, I'm usually early to every ADR and most of the time, we have been seated. I read about these horror stories of families waiting 45 minutes to an hour in some restaurants. Thank goodness this hasn't been our experience!! I bet you'll enjoy the Yachtsman...and especially the YC/BC...it's still on our "to do" list.
