First they mess up the classic movies by bringing it out to sequels (Cinderalla 2, Beauty & The Breast 2)

What a funny typo! Beauty and The Breast...

Anyway, on the castle, I hate the dirty pink color. I prefer it to be white...kind of like the pristine white look it has on the YOAMD merchandise.

I'd actually like it better if Disney made the castle even WHITER.

I wouldn't mind it white although I would prefer it to remain its 'natural color'. I wouldn't like a bright pink or birthday cake reborn or any dull color...aka brown.

Well, there is another thread about the castle on the board and they are saying they might be giving the castle a stone look. BLECH!

I guess they are already doing it to Cinderella's castle in Tokyo.

I know, I know, people are going to say "Give it a chance!" but I can't, from those pics it looks awful....not fanciful, not magical, not Cinderellish, it just looks like a run of the mill medieval castle, not a DISNEY castle, least of all Cinderella's Castle! AND this is not like the hideous pink birthday cake they thankfully removed in a year, they are saying it will be permanent (which in Disney-speak, means at LEAST 2-3 years!)

Not only do I not like the new color, if it's not a primer, Just think how bad it will look once the sun fades it some. Yeck!

Thank you for the photos. As a member of the "Puh-lease leave the castle alone" club, I wish they would find something else to paint.

Sigh... Indulge a tiny little rant please: I was really hoping not to have to see a big ol' crane looming over the castle. Oh well, one should not complain about such teeny things when one shall be in Disney World.

brown, they're painting the castle brown, the castle cake was too much to take, but this sure brings me down...

I was hoping they would leave the castle in all it's golden glory (surprised I felt that way since I was not a fan of the castle cake) but by the time we got there in mid-september it was already being de-goldened. So it went from lovely to it's usual pretty self and now to drab and short looking. If this is not a primer or the mid-way point of something beautiful, I say OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!

(PS for those of you going soon and worrying about the crane, when we were there it wasn't up the first part of the morning, and they had the crane down and out of sight by the evening so you can grab your un-craned pictures then. Just try to ignore the bucket with painters swinging towards the castle during the day).

I thought it looked great (we were there), the new colour really shows off all the trim. I couldn't help thinking though that if I was one of those paintes I'd sneak a camera up there in my pocket! You could get some amazing shots.

Guess I am in the minority. I liked the castle with all the gold and the characters "floating" there. Being that they are painting the castle, I hope that this is just the primer,and not the actual color...not very appealing. IMHO.

I too am a leave the castle alone fan! I hope it looks "OK" next week when we are there! I hate the new color!!

I don't want my princess seeing it for the first time all "messed up". Oh well, at least we will be THERE!!!!

I was so hoping that they would leave the castle alone. I liked the gold, but hated the mirror. Now, I have to look at a brown castle?? Even if it is primer, it still probably won't be gray or white.
