"Picnic in the Park" at AK

Kind of new here and didn't see any threads on this one. I read on allears about this at AK. Sounds like a good deal. Starting at $17.99, you get 2 sammies, a side, 2 desserts and 2 bottles of water. You can get bigger packages as well. Has anyone here tried this? What did you think?

It was great, only issue was the bottles of water were tiny, but it's now a seasonal offering and no one has reported being able to buy it since January. You can still buy the sandwiches at the grab and go (I think it's in Beastly Bazaar) and some of them can also be purchased at Tamu Tamu.

Thanks for the intel. Sounds like we may be out of luck it it's a seasonal offering. We are looking at going at the end of January, beginning of February.

I realize it was designated as a "seasonal" offering as of January, but there's been absolutely no reports to my knowledge of the pre-ordered picnic being offered in 2010 at all.

I just returned from a trip on 7/23 and it was not available. My friend and I actually searched it out, but the counter to order it was completely deserted. No indication of when it might return though.

Maybe, just maybe they will have picnic in the park while Flame Tree is closed.

Probably wishful thinking on my part, but considering it is during free dining, well, maybe...

August 9 to September 19.

So, it looks like it'll only be closed the first two days of your trip. Hope you weren't planning on going to AK those days.

oh no!!! my last day is the 19th and that was our dinner plan for AK!!! oh no!!! i thought i had it all figured out!!! grrr, back to the drawing board!!! lol!!!
