PICKY Eaters at AK

So on our AK day we will not be eating until after 8PM at Beaches and Cream. We will definitely need somewhere to stop and have lunch at AK to hold us over during the day. However, two people in our party are super picky eaters (AKA the boys). The other three of us (AKA the girls) are hoping to try something a little different at AK and don't want to just resort to Pizzafari again. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where we should eat?

Split up to pick up CS lunch and then meet up to sit and eat, do not forget to check out QS locations. I seem to find a lot of QS spots at AK that have interesting items that I could add together to make meals.

Is there anything in the new Harambe Market that would work? Our DS is picky too. We have only done Tusker House, Flame Tree, and Pizzafari. I think there's some boring stuff in Dinoland, like hot dogs or chicken nuggets. Can't remember the location names.

By picky I mean like they like the basic foods: chicken, pizza, cheeseburgers, pasta... the 20 year old (yes, I am not joking) says he doesn't like anything with "weird texture" (whatever that means:confused3)

I've heard about the new Harambe Market-- what choices are available there?

Best thing you can do is peruse menus.

Picky can mean a lot of things. I was determined that my daughter would not be "picky" like my dad and brother. They won't eat anything with a sauce on it. Well, my daughter likes sauces for sure, but she avoids fruits and vegetables like the plague!

It's true that picky eaters doesn't always equal: only eats nuggets, pizza and hot dogs. I consider my youngest picky and she won't eat any of those nor will she eat meat but she loves veggies, fish and any pasta.

Best strategy when choosing restaurants is to look at menus.

Restaurantosaurus has the nuggets and burgers and hot dogs.

how many times have I seen on here somebody with a party member (usually an older adult) who will eat nothing but steak and baked potato, asking if there are different places they can go to in order to find steak and baked potato so they don't have to eat in the same restaurant every night.

Yak and Yet? I remember it being similar to Panda Express...if that's not too exotic.

I agree. Since they are "picky", have them go to Pizzafari while you and the others go to another place. They can get their pizza and carry it to where you are.

My friend and I ate lunch at the Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes (quick service). She got the daily special, which was some kind of African stew thing. I got the children's cheeseburger, which was served with carrots, grapes and a small (12 ounce) bottled water. So she got something exotic-sounding and I got something suitable for picky eaters. Then I got a cupcake at Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery, which was what I really wanted.
