My Aunt has decided to go to Disney with us the only problem is she only eat Grilled Cheese and Fries and sometimes a Hotdog. I want to plan some Table Services Do you think I could ask for them to make a Grilled Cheese? We are doing CRT so she going to sit that one out but I would like to her to go to a few TS with us she says it is not a issue and she could even just have a drink but I don't know if that would even be allowed?

Thanks for the help

It would likely be allowed as long as other meals are purchased. But are you on the DDP - if so, they MIGHT use a TS credit even if she doesn't get anything.

I would suggest as many buffets as you can get. Even a picky eater can find SOMETHING to eat at a buffet!

If she is only going to have a drink though, she will still most likely be charged full price for a buffet. Have her look at the menus on all ears and see if anything strikes her fancy. I assume she has to eat other things besides grilled cheese every day.

Thanks she isn't going to go to the Buffets because literally all she eats is Grilled Cheese and Cold Cheese Sandwiches EVERY DAY. I might have to call and see if they can do anything for her. We are planning on going to eat at Coral Reef and Whispering Canyon maybe they will let her order a hotdog or grilled cheese off of the Kids Menu and charge her full price:confused:

Is she going to be on the dining plan? Because it sounds like it will not be a good fit for her.

At buffets, everyone is charged whether they eat or not (except kids under 3).

DD is not a big grilled cheese eater, but I really don't remember seeing it as an option either. Be sure to review the menus to be sure it is even served.

I guess I assumed you were exhaggerating to some extent. If that's truly the case - don't get DDP as it will be a huge waste for her. Pack a loaf of bread and a couple packs of American cheese - and she will be set for your trip - and cheaply too. Then just plan to eat at all non-buffets and she can sit and chat with you while you eat and just sip her drink - and then pull her cheese sandwich out of her purse (or small cooler if you want to bring that and put it in a backpack) - either before you go in to eat or after you leave the restaurant.

This type of thing doesn't sound like it leaves you many options. I guess if it was for a medical condition I would ask the chefs for something special - but if it is just for a extremely picky eater - I wouldn't do it. I would either skip eating at restaurants or work around it without asking for something special. To me it's like going into a Chinese restaurant when I know that I do not like ANY Chinese food and then turning around and asking them for a hot dog. Why would I even go in there in the first place? She should just stick to Casey's for hot dogs and not intend to eat if she wants to sit at your meals while you eat. JMO...

You can get a child's hot dog meal at 50's Prime Time Cafe, Sci-Fi Dine In, LeCellier, Kona and my son got one at Ohana (probably came from Kona).

There is a child's grilled cheese at Brown Derby (they also have hot dogs), the Plaza Restaurant and Jiko.

If that is literally all that she will eat then I agree with the others, the dining plan is a HUGE waste for her.

If you have to do the plan because she is in the same room as you, then I'd pay Out of Pocket for her kids meals and use her credits for other adults at signature restaurants.

...hmmmmm, that's a tough one  if she is paying for the DDP then I would suggest eating all TS meals at the buffets. They will have hot dogs, fries, cheese and bread at most. If you want to do a restaurant like WCC and Coral Reef I'm sure the chef will throw together a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich if requested. Still, 40 bucks a day is kinda pricey for a picky eater. We will have a picky eating 15 year old on this trip (chicken strips & cheese pizza) so I'm planning lots of all-you care-to eat joints....try and have a fun and stress free trip, she'll eat if she gets hungry ;)

You definitely want to check the menus. At most TS places hot dogs and grilled cheese are no longer an option even on the kids menu.

She is going to be on the Dining Plan because she is going to be in our Room. I am thinking maybe I can have her order off the Kids Menu I am going to try to look at the Menu's and see what I can do.

Thanks for the help!

Yes that DDP would be a huge waste of money. I can't believe someone would even decide to leave the house and go to Disney with dietary restrictions like that. I'm also surprised she's healthy enough to get around Disney. I can't imagine what a diet of only grilled cheese, fries, and hot dogs must do to someone inside and out.

Oooh. That will be a huge waste of money. I thought she was just going out of pocket. Well if that is the way she is, I wouldn't let her pickiness hold you back from where you eat. Honestly, that is just not healthy. Hopefully she'll enjoy some fruit or what not.
I'm sure you can order from the kds meals, be financially she won't come even with the price of the plan. Also, the kis menus are VERY limited at most CS's and even at the TS's I don't know of grilled cheese is offered, but you could call ahead of time and ask if you can get them.

What's the dining plan these days? About $40. (I never can remember the exact price) So that is going to be basically $40 for a hot dog and a grilled cheese each day!
