I accidently posted this on the Dining Reservations thread..

YAY! I have been trying for weeks & I am so excited that I was able to get reservations for me and my dds for Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner, but now I have to find somewhere for my dh and ds to eat while the girls go eat with Cinderella. My dh LOVES chinese/japanese food and would love to eat at Nine Dragons. I was wondering if I called ahead, is possible to order ds (who is a very picky eater) chicken nuggets even though they are not on the menu?

What might be simpler is to order the sweet and sour chicken off the kids menu and either order the sauce on the side or no sauce at all. Basically, you would get fried chicken nuggets that way. If your husband explains that the fried chicken needs to be plain, I wouldn't think that would be a problem. I don't think you would get traditional chicken nuggets there, but this would be pretty close.

The other option would be to go CS instead of TS, and eat someplace like Sunshine Seasons, which has some Asian food, and more traditional food your DS would like.

I totally agree! I also know that you can order the sauce on the side; I did just that with the honey chicken.

Sunshine Seasons would definitely be another good option for Asian food. :)

I would do Nine Dragons over Sunshine Seasons for Chinese food. We went to Nine Dragons and Sunshine Seasons on our last trip and they were VERY different IMHO.

The Sunshine Seasons meals were made with mostly dark thigh meat and we even found bones in the sweet and sour chicken on 2 different plates. The food is sitting under heat lamps in front of you already seasoned and sauced.

We went to Nine Dragons only because we could not get ADRs anywhere else and really did not want to go. We were glad we did because it was was FAR better than Sunshine Seasons. The chicken was white breast meat and the sauces were smooth and flavorful just like they had been put on and not sitting for awhile.

The room for ND was very crowded with tables and my being in a WC was tough there but other than that we had a wonderful experience and our children have even asked to go back again. :)

Thank you very much for all of the input. We have been to Nine Dragons before and just LOVE it. I will tell him to order the chicken plain. Thanks again!

Good idea on the plain chicken. :thumbsup2
I :cloud9:  the Chai ice tea at 9 Dragons. :worship: It's worth going for that alone.
