My stepson is an EXTREMELY picky eater. Burgers--plain, pizza--cheese only, mac and cheese...we're going to Disney for Spring Break, and we'd like to go to a sit-down restaurant. Since he's 11, I know he's considered an "adult"--but does that also mean that he couldn't order off of the children's menu? Of course, he's also at that awkward stage where kids' meals don't always fill him up, so we were thinking perhaps a buffet where he could take his pick and eat as much of it as he wished. We were initially going to try Sci-Fi because we thought he'd enjoy the atmosphere, but I don't see one thing on the adult menu that he'd eat. (I keep thinking, "If I were Mom, this'd be a great opportunity to broaden his palate..." :goodvibes )

Any thoughts out there? Thanks!

He can order off the kids menu - no problem. Buffets are always good too because they have a wide selection. He might not like Disney pizza either - it's rather yucky. Most of the buffets are character meals, but I like Chef Mickey's for the variety.

My dd, now 12, is the ultimate discriminating eater!!! She has yet to have a problem eating anywhere in WDW. She is always able to get either a burger, mac and cheese, chicken strips. She is very slowly starting to branch out, so we're hoping she'll get to try other stuff next trip.
But, you really shouldn't have any problems...even at HDDR she could get a huge plate of mac and cheese!!
