If I had to pick between Dill or Sweet I'd say Dill. But my utmost favorite is Bread & Butter pickles.

Topper, what are half-sours? Does that mean they are only a little bit dill, and not as flavorful? They taken out of the brine early?

I have never met a pickle I didn't like :teeth: I must say that sweet midgets and bread and butter are my favorite. I was actually dogged at my own July 4th party yesterday b/c I love sweet pickles. All my friends and neighbors seem to be dill only folks and were grossed out by my cute little jar of sweet midgets. Needless to say the dill pickle spears were empty by the end of the day and I was alone eating from what turned out to be my "personal" jar of pickles. Oh well....more for me :goodvibes

My ALL TIME favorite is my late grandmother's homemade green tomato pickle. It was both sweet and spicy with sort of a cinnamon/allspice kick. Yummers. If I only had her recipe..... :sad1:

I've only tried pickled cucumbers. Oh, wait, I remember trying pickled cauliflower once, which was mighty tasty. That was years ago though.
