I am so happy you had a wonderful trip - and rope drop TWICE!!(when we go we'll make every rope drop! ). Can't wait to hear more.

Oh! My phone died when we were chatting when you were on the train ~ I enjoyed that visit so much and was sorry when the phone died., Did not dawn on me until today that I could have called you back from the house phone! DUH!

We don't have an ADR for EPCOT - no great options there for CS, so probably a good idea to have one and then cancel if later if we decide not to use it...but where??

Hi Everyone,
I’m back! Exhausted, but had a great trip. I think I’m getting the cold my sis and friend caught in Disney. I really didn’t feel like coming into work today … just wanted to go back to sleep. The time always flies in Disney … hard to come back to this “world” after being in the “world”.

I will post a few pics in a day or two. My sister leaves tomorrow, so tonight I’m sure I will be busy. We did the Halloween night, and had a blast. This is the second hard ticket event I’ve been to (last was the P&P party) and we really had a great time. We could ride POC, TMRR several times in a row. I wished that Space Mtn was open, but you can’t have everything. The Parade & fireworks were awesome. We enjoyed the Food &Wine, we listened to several bands, and sampled our way around the world. Loved the dinner at the Rose & Crown, plus we were able to get the priority viewing for Illuminations. Rode Soarin’ 3 times, Test Track 3 times, chickened out on Mission Space. I think we saw everything possible in Animal Kingdom and I rode EE 5 times!! Yeah -- my favorite roller coaster in Disney. HS – we were able to ride TSM 3 times, RR coaster (once was enough), still can’t seem to take on TOT.

I did accomplish my goal of making park opening - once at MK and HS! First time ever!

On Monday, I met up with Kathy & Mark ~ the hour seemed to fly by – it was great meeting them both!! It makes me wish even more for our "pickles" dream trip to become a reality, so we can all meet and enjoy Disney together

Christine & Tracy ~ I just knew that Pop ressie would get changed! And to the Poly!! My dream is to stay there one day. I’m so happy for you both!!

By some miracle, I don’t think I gained any weight even with all that food!!

We were able to see the Halloween wishes from the Poly at our Ohana ressie, perfect timing right after we sat down. We had a window seat right directly out from the castle.

Since this was my B-day celebration and my friend's, we wore the buttons Disney gave us ~ it was a little weird at first having the CM wishing us a Happy Birthday all the time (even other guests wished us a HB!). We did get some pixie dust ~ on EE, the CM saw our Birthday buttons and let us go thru without collecting our fast passes, yippee, we got to go again! The GF gave us each a huge cupcake and a placemat, and the CP had the table decorated with confetti and ribbons and brought us out a cupcake each. We had the best service at CP - loved the dinner!!

On the bus coming back to POP the driver noticed our B-day buttons and mentioned it on the ride, so everyone sang happy birthday to us!! It was such a blast. Maybe it can be my b-day everytime I go to Disney??

I will post more, hopefully a few pics tomorrow.

I read they are getting rid of WedWay at Disneyland!! Are they NUTS!!!! That would be HUGE mistake! It would simply not be Disneyland without WedWay. I really hope this is a crazy rumor.

Kathy, can you believe I've not even been on the Pooh attraction yet? I was so upset about Mr. Toad that I would not even go on Pooh! I will in December, especially now that I know you like it so much.

Actually, Mark and I really enjoyed Liberty Inn. I know it gets a bad wrap all the time, but Mark enjoyed their cheeseburger and I had the chicken tenders and they were really good with ranch dressing. We also like Sunshine Seasons. As for a table service, I would try for Rose & Crown or perhaps Chefs de France for lunch...but not dinner (it has been getting horrible reviews for dinner).

You definitely have to do Pooh this year--it really is cute.

Thanks, Kathy! I like Liberty Inn too - we stopped by in 2007 before the Candlelight Processional and it was good - even gave us cookies because we were wearing our birthday pins; The CM's were especially nice.

Rose & Crown was one of my favorites for years, but after they changed the menu there was really nothing I could eat. R&C is not an easy place to work with allergies without advance notice (no pepper, no garlic for example) b/c much on the menu is pre-prepared. Love that place though.

We've had a few delicious lunches at Chefs de France ~ another place where I always get the same thing!

Over the years, like most of us, we've eaten at every World Showcase restaurant, with the exception of Morocco.

I'm thinking if it is okay with Tracy, then we can wing it and try Liberty Inn as I'd very much like to try to see the Candlelight Processional. With the long lines, it will be easy to b nearby to hop in line.

Now, I have the opposite problem in Epcot....there are so many places it is hard to pick. We like Liberty Inn, the Cantina outside of MExico, the Counter service at China...plus so many great snack options...schoolbread @ Nroway, etc. I also want to try Subshine Seasons.....too much food, not enough time!

Heather ~ so sorry for your miscarriages. I also had one, due to low progesterone. It was devastating for me, can't imagine it happening twice.

Good morning to all of my Pickles. It is rainy and yucky here and making me wish we were back at Disney. I never did a trip report and it is a lot of work. I finished up to the afternoon of Monday, the 21st. Once I get through the rest of Monday and Tuesday, the 22nd, it will go quicker since we were at Marco Island and didn't take a lot of pictures and just were lazy.

Lunch sounds Nice....maybe one Sunday afternoon....Brian and Chris like to watch the Eagles Game, but Martina gets antsy...Maybe the girls can all get together for lunch.

I just realised that even though my ticker says 2 months, 3 days, if you go by the dates, we leave for Disney 2 months from yesterday!!!!

Christine... what about Beirgarten in Epcot? I don't know about the pepper allergy, though. It is buffet, so pre-prepared. But the schnitzel (sp?) is out of this world. And I love the salads and the cheesecake! My kids love to watch the Oompa Band. I have the cutest pics of Avery up dancing!

Janet... sorry Space Mountain was closed during your visit. Haunted Mansion was closed during our last visit for their major rehab. That is my favorite ride! But I can't wait to go and see how much has changed since our last visit. Same with Space Mountain. And then theirs the Monsters thing, Toy Story Mania, the Nemo show... lots of changes for us to catch up on!

My kids have been bugging me to go to DLR for our next trip, and I keep tossing it around. The biggest drawback for me is the airfare, since we always drive to WDW and don't have to shell that out. I am going to hold off awhile and see how the $ situation is before making any decisions. Wynn and I were able to avoid bankruptcy, and are into the Dave Ramsey "Debt Snowball" right now. The thought of slowing down on our bills to save for a trip has NO appeal to me. But once we get this debt knocked out... I am going SOMEWHERE and having a vacation!

This week is a little bit of a break for me. I blew off my Girl Scout training this past weekend, and stayed home and slept! Wynn ended up working out of town, so I had to either stay home or arrange a babysitter... staying home won! Now I have a few days to clean house and catch up. Thursday is Avery's 7th birthday, so we are having a family party with the grandparents. Friday I have to get Tucker off to Camporee with the Boy Scouts. Sat I have to leave by 7am to get to Girl Scout training (can't miss this one!) and will not be back until 2pm on Sun. Then laundry, housework, Boy Scouts on Mon, Girl Scouts on Thurs, re-pack, and off to camp with my Girl Scouts for the weekend on Fri. I can't wait until everything slows down a bit in Nov!

Whew! You have been busy. So glad to hear you were able to avoid filing bankruptcy. Wherever you go, your Disney trip will be so much more enjoyable knowing that you will be debt-free – good for you! I have never been to DL, but I would probably be hard pressed not to go to DW since you can drive (a bummer that I live so far away. We may try driving next time anyway if I was my way)

I went on the Haunted Mansion ride for the first time this year ~ Samantha was too scared last year ~ so this trip did it 3 times! I minded Space Mountain being closed for my friend since this was her first trip, but, I told her she just needs to come back to experience it.

Hope Avery has a wonderful B-Day!

This year I'm not the Cookie Mom for our troop. Of course, no one stepped up, so the leaders are handling the cookies. I feel bad, but since I'm so involved with the sixth grade class, putting together the memory book in addition to chairing the School Yearbook, I will lose my mind if I try to fit that in too.

Have fun? at GS training. On Friday, I am going to game 2 of the ALDS at Yankees Stadium! I didn't think we were going to be able to go, but Howard kept trying on the website to see if any tickets were left and we got lucky. I am so psyched! Now to just get rid of this cold!

My ticker was weird since my trip ended so I just got rid of it. I thought about you when we visited Wilderness Lodge last week ~ I was showing my friend how beautiful the lodge is and we ate at the Roaring Fork. I've also found that the Lodge always has some great pins for trading.

Chris now has whatever I had a couple weeks ago. Turns out it is a form of Bronchitis that turns into pneumonia if not treated. He is on Zithromax and a nebulizer. I'm so glad I got him to the Dr today...He seemed better this morning, and I almost sent him to school, but since I already had the appt, decided to keep him home and take him in.
