Some teens, err, most teens love to argue. Some love it more than others and push it to a level of unnecessary rebelling. I have seen some overly "dramatic" kids picking the wrong fights...the pointless, meaningless issues, and argue to the death of it. Then, at the other end of the spectrum I have seen serious issues skip a step of maturity and thus ruin the action taken. In other words, avoiding dealing with the issue in a matter of words and negotiation and jumping straight to "lock-ins" or "sit-ins" resulting in an uncivil answer.
How do you pick your battles and exactly how far will you take it to make sure what you want is justified? How do you judge what makes the issue extreme, and what makes it meaningless? Will you overract to pressure attention? Or are you just the kind of person who will debate anything to attain a level of appearance...that is, do you debate just to make yourself sound smart?
