Picking up will call tickets

I decided to be cheap and go for the will call option with my tickets, but now I'm regretting it. The more I think about it, it seems like the extra $3 would have been worth it for the time saved.

Is there typically a long line to pick up will call tickets? Is it the same line as everyone else waiting to buy tickets or do they have a separate area?

We're arriving at WDW Thursday night. Right now the plan is to go to Wide World of Sports first thing Friday to pick up my Expedition Everest race packet. Then on to AK to pick up the tickets and enjoy the park. I have to go to WWoS first because my race packet will contain my ticket to get into AK.

On Thursday night we're heading out to Pleasure Island. Would it be better to stop by one of the parks on the way to Downtown Disney and get the will call tickets Thurs night? I'm not sure how much of a detour that would be.

It will take a couple of minutes.

Go to any ticket booth, Guest Relations, or front desk at your WDW resort.
(Resorts can't handle anything in regard to AP's.)

I've done this twice. It was a breeze. I would suggest to go to customer service, the line is usually shorter.

Will call is great! Ever since Hurricane Katrina (sounds ridiculous but true) our mail has been less than reliable.

Guest relations can be pretty busy at RD or anytime in the morning hours, so if you can pick up your tickets at DTD or at a themepark in the afternoon you will not have to wait as long.

No need to stop at a park. There are two Guest Relations locations at DTD where you could pick up your tickets. One on the West Side and one in the Marketplace. :thumbsup2

I agree. I always use it, and love it. I think it's faster.;)

Hey Robo, thanks for the welcome and the maps!

I'm happy to read all the positive info on will call tickets, but I'm also a little confused... My will call "certificate" says that the tickets can only be picked up at the parks. So even though the certificate only lists the parks, any guest relations location will work?

Yes. Disney doesn't really pubicize it, but you can pick up your will call ticket order at any Theme Park ticket booth (including at the water parks), at any Guest Relations location (including Downtown Disney), or at any Disney resort Lobby Concierge. Will Call for Magic Your Way tickets can also be picked up at one of the automated ticket machines outside the theme park entrances. :thumbsup2

Is this also true for special event tickets, i.e. MVMCP?
