I just recently read that you can pick up rewards cards for your points on your Chase Disney Visa at Disneyworld.

Is this true?
Has anyone done it?

Do you have to call in advance or something and request it be sent there instead of to your house or do you just walk up with your visa and ask for your points to be put on a reward card?

This seems like a great idea to maximize the points I am able to use, but also sounds to good to be true. Would they really make it that easy? lol.

TIA

I got mine at the guest services at Disney Quest. No problem. Got the card, called Visa, and had them load the amount I wanted. Used that card to pay off my charges to the hotel. Easy. I would call Visa and ask where else, but I used that location as my kids were playing and I thought, might as well ask where I can get a card, as I never got around to it before we left.

If you have time, I'd have them send it to your house, that's what I did last time.

What you can also do to maximize points is to order the card ahead of time with the minimum number of points (which is 20), then wait until your last statement cuts before your trip to add the rest of your points.

You can go to any guest relations inside any of the parks and have this done.
I have done it several times.

I'm too scared to have it mailed ....

You can also pick it up at DTD Guest Services. But I've had then mailed numerous times with no issues--it has to be activated, just like when you get a new credit card in the mail. But maybe you're just worried about getting it in time? That was why I picked it up that one time--didn't realize the one I already had was expired so I couldn't just reload it.

Good idea. I was thinking the minimum was 50, which I don't have yet. I can just keep adding points to the same card even if I haven't used the previous points?

Absolutely. You just have to add at least 10.

I did this yesterday morning standing in line at Akershus. I had forgotten to call or find customer service prior. The customer relations at Epcot gladly handed me a 'shell' i.e. empty rewards card and the phone number in a nice envelope. I called and she linked my rewards card to my cc ... and it was officially transferred. Then she reminded me of the free EPCOT photo op in Innoventions West. That was a great experience

I did the same when I lost my Disney rewards card at WDW. I called the customer service number on the back of my Dis Visa and told them. They immediately put a hold on my account and told me to go to Guest Relations. There they gave me a new Rewards Card and I called and activated it immediately.

I have also added newly acquired points to my active Rewards Card from my computer while at WDW. My points always seem to post while we're there.
