Hi
We're using TCD this year for the first time, and have bought our 14 day Disney tickets with them. We've got our 'voucher' from TCD, and it says we exchange it for our tickets at guest relations at MK, AK, Epcot, or MGM. We really wanted to relax at Typhoon Lagoon on our first morning, but think it's a little harsh if we have to pay for parking to get into one of the main parks, just to pick up our tickets.
Has anyone had any experience of this before, and if so, knows whether we can exchange this voucher at TL??
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
Tracy

It would seem unfair that you couldn't collect the tickets from Typhoon Lagoon also.
I see no reason why you should not be able to, as all the parks have their own Guest Services.

I think you can exchange at ANY park surely?

Just phoned TCD customer services, and no we can't go to TL on our first day! We have to exchange the vouchers at one of the four main parks! I'm furious! Can't even speak to a manager at TCD, they were 'on lunch'.

I'm pretty sure this must happen a lot...... it seems a fair few companies supply vouchers rather than tickets...which are then redeemed.
Anyone out there who can offer the solution to castanea's question?

Maybe it's an idea to e-mail TL Guest services and get the definitive answer?
Hopefully they can give you good news! :thumbsup2

It's a bit unfair to blame TCD for WDW's terms and conditions though? :guilty:

I thought parking at the waterparks was free?

Ha - course it is, silly me.

I will edit my previous suggestion!

Personally I'd drive to DTD and take a bus to the nearest park just to exchange the vouchers and then it'll only be a short drive back from DTD to TL

Great news then...at least it saves the annoyance of having to pay for parking to collect the tickets...good result then :cool1:

Have a great time castanea

Thanks Carolfoy.
Yes, we will probably do that, but even so, its such an inconvenience. We always like to relax on the first day, and as you all know, you're usually awake about 5am (or even earlier), and thought we'd be at TL for the 9am opening!
Might even go to AK first and then finish off with TL. I've never booked a holiday through an agent before, I've always usually done everything separately. I just hope there are no more 'inconveniences'! I'm not sure I like all these 'vouchers'.
Anyway, TCD were supposed to phone me back this afternoon, so I could speak to a manager - I'm still waiting! Not sure whether the 'blame' lies with TCD or WDW, but even so, we certainly wern't informed about the vouchers only being exchanged at the 'four main parks'.

where are you staying is it onsite or offsite.Sure if onsite you can exchange them at front desk but its been years since weve had vouchers.Or if ofsite why one of you not drive to Downtown Disney the night you arive, catch a buss to one of the parks to pick ticketts up.Better still go to the boardwalk park there walk to epcot pick up tickets from there (bit uncerton if there is a ticket bouth at the internation gateway if not boat to MGM).You can do a bit of disney the first night

Eventually spoke to a supervisor this morning, who confirmed that WDW state that vouchers can only be exchanged at the Guest Services at the four main parks.
So be warned, anyone planning their trip, using the voucher system - plan to go to one of the main parks first!!
I'm still fuming about it, as TCD failed to mention this when we bought them! All they could do was apologise!

You can also do it at DTD which would be better for you when going to TL on your first day. You can definitely do this :)

Are you absolutely sure, Miffy??? I spoke to TCD supervisor this morning at length, who said we could only exchange the voucher at the four main Guest Services!

do you know where specifically?

What time do the park guest services open in a morning? Wondering if they'd be open in time to take advantage of morning EMH?

:hourglass

Bear in mind it is 3 years since we last visited WDW

We had vouchers from TCD & on the way from the airport to our villa we stopped off at DTD & exchanged them there for park tickets. at the DTD guest relations this was very easy to do & there was no queue

hope this helps

Sue,
Where is guest relations in DTD??? Can't ever recall seeing one there ( but haven't really looked for one, either).
Thanks
Tracy

Thanks Paul.
Hope this is not all in vain, and that we can exchange the voucher there! Am not holding out much hope though.
