DH said he read in someone's trip report that they picked up their DDE cards in the parks somewhere. We will be going in Oct. and wondered if we would be able to pick them up instead of have them mailed. Anyone know about this??

Yes you get the card at Epcot Guest Relations Window. Just tell them when you order the card that you want to pick it up at Park. This is the only place you can pick them up at. If you order your card by Sept. 15 you would have it by Oct. in the mail Just allow 4 weeks.

I think if you pick it up at Epcot, it is not the card but instead a sheet of paper. At least that is what everyone was reporting a year and a half ago when the cards were taking longer to arrive.

Much better to order ahead and have an actual card IMO.

In April, I received a "paper" temporary card at Epcot's Guest relation Window

Oh, that is different than reports I saw a year ago.

How did it hold up during your trip?

No problem. It was a heavy card stock material (think heavy index card), so you would really would have to abuse it to ruin it.

Thanks guys. So, can anyone report that they are actually mailing them within about 4 weeks now? I don't know - we are going Sept. 29, so I still feel like picking it up might be better than trusting the mail. Are they consistently around 4 weeks now?
