Picking up APs at the park

I've ordered our family's APs, and was told that we need to pick them up at the park, not at our resort. Does this take a while to do, assuming I have my AP numbers? What ID do I need? Does everyone have to be there, or can I pick them up myself for everyone?

Sorry for the noob questions, but this is our first AP purchase.

I purchased my first AP this past December. I went to the right of the turnstiles at the Magic Kingdom and was called up to a window. I told the Cast Member that I wanted to turn my one day ticket into an Annual Pass and he said no problem asked for my driver's license and started entering the information. Whole process took about 4 minutes. With a larger family, I would assume it would take longer to enter in the information (if they even need to with the vouchers you have...)

I went to guest services at Downtown Disney (but you can do it at any guest services). I had my number they gave me, my driving licence and my mom's DVC membership card (I got a discount because I live with them most of the time).

All very quick and easy! :goodvibes

customer relations at Downtown Disney, Epcot, or Magic Kingdom will all handle what you need.

Certainly the adults need to be present, with their picture IDs.

It will take a few moments per AP being processed.

They definitely cannot be handled at the the resorts...the resorts have limited access to the ticketing system which does not include APs.

So the four of us (myself and my 3 kids) all carry our Canadian passports with us to Magic Kingdom with our AP numbers, from the sounds of it, it shouldn't take too long.

MY kids like going before rope drop to see Mickey and friends arrive via the train, so I guess we could do it then.

i don't know if you all have to be present or not, but we have always all been present...
we go to guest services at Downtown Disney on the day we arrive....
by that point we've been traveling for over 24 hours...
so after check in, we head to earl of sandwich at DTD for something to eat and then to guest services at DTD for our APs...

Does this mean you pre-purchased the annual passes and just want to get the active passes? You should been mailed the exchange vouchers that show proof of purchase. If you mean the voucher numbers as your "AP numbers", that would work, too.

As others have said, you would get your annual passes at any Guest Relations at the parks or Downtown Disney. It looks like you'll be getting it at the Guest Relations outside the Magic Kingdom. I believe it's off to the right side of the turnstiles.

I have the numbers, not the vouchers. Thanks for letting me know where the guest services is.

I believe you can also get them at any "will call" window (one of the ticket booths is marked "will call"), but at the MK proper it is generally the same location as Guest Relations. Occasionally it is the round building nearby - there is a sign saying which is Will Call that day.

I've always liked going to the Guest Services location at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. My experience has been there's usually very little or no wait. I imagine the park locations could be busy early in the morning. If you're in the night before you head to the parks, I believe the DD location is usually open until 11 PM.

In case you're not sure where it is, pass Ghirardelli (of course, stop to get a sample :) ) and its between there and Team Mickey.

A couple of minutes per pass, not a big deal. :)

We've always had to have everyone there to get new passes (twice). adults have to show photo ID, kids just show their faces. Not sure that it's mandatory for all the kids but they have asked to see them and I had to retrieve them from around the corner. When we renewed, everyone didn't have to be there.

I've never gotten the voucher mailed to me. I had to have the confirmation number and the credit card I charged them to.

I've used guest services at MK and TTC. Renewed at Epcot and MK.

My DH and I just upgraded our convention MYW tickets to APs on Friday. We went to Guest Services at MK and I was surprised by how quickly the CM handled the transaction. Just a few minutes for everything and we were on our way! :yay: I still can't believe that I'm an AP holder!!!!
