I know there is a resident expert on the college program but can't remember who it is.

My daughter is doing her second college program. The first one she worked a minimum of 40 hours per week - usually more. This time she is working an average of 32 to 36 hours per week.

This past week she was able to pick up an extra shift. It was on the hub, not an exchange or a shift giveaway. I'm not sure of the terms but I think the person who hopefully will help will know what I am talking about.

This extra shift resulted in 6 days of work for a total of 40.25 or 40.5 hours total. Is she going to get in "trouble" for this? If so, how much trouble? She is so proud of herself because she completed her first program with NO points and up until now has no points. Is her perfect record now tarnished? She has just applied for a college rep position. Will it affect that?

As far as I know, she won't get in trouble for it. I knew people on the program who worked 10+ days in a row and were absolutely fine.

Full Time Cast Members get over time (OT) when they work 6 days a week.... College Program does NOT. A lot of people get the two confused. CPs ONLY get OT if they work over 8 hours in one day or over 40 hours in one week.

Based on that, she will only be getting .5 hours of OT, so she'll be fine.

Additionally, hours that exist through EHH (Extra Hours Hotline) are approved for OT. However, they are not approved for double time. Double time is granted if a CP works over 16 hours a day (14 for FT) or has 8 or less hours between shifts (in some roles it's 9 hours). If she put herself into Double Time by picking up the shift, then yes, she would get discipline.

Thank you so much.

This second CP is certainly not contributing to the bank account like last time.

I don't ever want to hear her complain about QSFB on Main St. again ;)
