Picking up an ADR someone is canceling

How does this work? Do you just call right behind them to pick up the ADR they just cancelled?

Has anyone done this before?

Just wanted to let you know that this works!

I can't believe it, I got ressies for CRT breakfast! I am so excited.

I called a minute after the other DISer cancelled her reservation and it was there!

The 3-way calling is another great idea too!

So don't lose hope!

I've done this once before where I got both the person who wanted to take my reservation on the phone, then dialed the reservations number so as soon as I canceled, the other person was on the line to get the ressie. It was pretty easy.

I've called and asked to have the name changed from mine to the other family's name. I said I was giving my ressie to a friend who was vacationing with me.
