Picking up a few things before we go...

I just went to the Disney store and bought a couple of the reusable bags for my boys. (Toy Story and CARS) I plan on putting in some stuff for the car ride down, as well as a T-shirt for each to wear on our first Disneyland day I'll give them the bags the morning we leave.
What do you pick up before you go?

I was going to say the same thing (except I usually pick them up from Micheal's or Target's $1 spot)!

Oh, and snacks and sunscreen.

For those looking for pre-park Disney stuff for the kiddos:

99 Cents Only has great deals on Disney Princess, Mickey and friends, Cars, Tinkerbell and other Disney trinkets for cheap. They also have Disney reusable bags with classic Mickey and the pixies on them. I was there a couple days ago so all this stuff should still be there.

Also as mentioned, Target is often great with their $1 bins.

Walgreens has a bunch of Disney stuff in the Easter seasonal area including cute light up necklaces for 3.50 and sticker sheets for much less than that.

In 2009 we acquired two young grandkids when my son married. In January 2010, they were 5 and 8, I took them to Disneyland for their first trip. For a surprise I bought Disney Character pillow cases washed them up and took them along.

When we arrived in the room, while the kids were busy checking out the balcony view, I quickly put the pillow cases on the bed pillows.

On the bed I placed an envelop for each of them, with a letter from their favorite characters, Welcoming them to Disneyland.

There are so many things you can do to make the trip extra special.

When they come to stay at my house overnight they bring their pillow with the Disney pillow case. It's so sweet....

For the letters, I went online and made my own stationary. I was able to personalize their letters, picking out each ones favorite Disney characters. They were very excited when the letter said they could keep the pillow case.
