Picking up a car at Paradise Pier - walk or use Lyft?

We're picking up a rental at 8 AM on a Friday morning at Paradise Pier. We're staying at Desert Inn on Harbor near the main entrance. Here are my options:

1. Walk across the street, go through security, walk through Downtown Disney, cut through GCH(??)
2. Walk down Harbor, up Katella, up Disneyland Drive to PPH
3. Take a Lyft

Thoughts? Not sure how construction affects my choices...

I don't think the impending construction would have any major effect on any of your choices, but, personally, I would choose option #1 so that I could stop by the DTD Starbucks or La Brea Bakery take-out for coffee/tea and a quick breakfast (with some people watching thrown in) before cutting through the GCH to the PPH.

Or get the car from the Katella Alamo/National location and use their shuttle.

I can't find any information about a shuttle for Alamo?

Also, when/if I return the car in the afternoon to PPH, I can use the GCH entrance to DCA at that point in the day, correct?
