hi all! I'm in the process of planning a girl's trip on the Disney Fantasy. There will be 6 of us and I'm looking to book two state rooms for either Nov. or Dec. 2017 Western Caribbean itinerary on the Fantasy.

First of all, how much time do I have before I end up with very slim pickings on state rooms? I looked at December 9th cruise and it's saying that all inside state rooms are already booked up. That in and of itself isn't a problem because we're hoping to book verandah rooms, but it just made me nervous about how soon I need to book. Do the Christmases cruises sell out fast? we're also looking at the nov. 11 and it still looks pretty wide open, would that date be a Christmas cruise as well?

My other question is less important, but I've seen mentioned in a few posts and on YouTube videos that people end up with state rooms with huge oversized verandahs. With 6 of us I think it would be fun to have that extra space, but how do I find that kind of state room? And will it still be available? Is there a category they would be listed under?

Thanks for the help!

My daugther just stayed in 8682 on the Fantasy and their balcony was tremendous. She just picked it as she booked on opening day and it was available. Your best bet is to check out a deck plan and see which cabins you like and then call DCL and see if they are available. Or you could try to do it online as well.

I would suggest booking much sooner than later. It really is not too early to book and secure the rooms you want now (connecting would be fun for your group). You can always cancel before PIF date if things change but connecting cabins and even getting cabins next to each other could be harder down the road.

Tell everyone they have to deposit by a specific date if they are serious (the sooner the better).

Any stateroom is up for grabs as long as it is not already booked. Below is a link to deck plans for the Fantasy. Check out 8682 (all the way aft) and you can see how much larger that veranda is compared to others.

We just stayed in 8502 and 8504 on the Fantasy last month and those are forward oceanview rooms. 8504 is tremendous and it is a great value as it is classified as a 9D.

Thank you so much for your response! This is all the info I was looking for! Much appreciated

Deck 10, 10658 and 10651, both have enormous verandahs. They book quickly, though. Google Disney Fantasy Deck plans and you'll find easy access to large verandahs (usually found in the rear of the ship...corners, or very deep aft (rear) verandahs).

I had a question about the fantasy ship also
We are all newbees planning this cruise with a 10 yo, 8 yo and 3 yo.
We are also booking two staterooms side by side
Which area of the ship is the best for price, noise and I'm
Not sure if sea sickness is even a problem anymore on these big ships.

We have been talking to a travel agent and she has found two rooms on
Deck 6 ... 5D rooms 6068 6066
Can anyone help!!?!?

Those rooms are centrally located on the ship for the most part. Dreadfully convenient to the kids clubs one deck down, and close to the midship elevators . Generally the lower the deck the lower the price, also the further you are from center of the ship, the cheaper. But you trade being away from mid ship for more potential for sea sickness, which is very dependent on the person and the conditions. It is a 5d cabin, so your prices aren't going to get much better if you need a verandah. There are other verandah categories below it, but many are limited in the quantity of those rooms, or that theere may not be connecting or side by side ones.
