My family is heading to Florida to visit my folks in Vero Beach, we are flying in and out of Orlando during Easter week 30-5th. We are going to Magic Kingdom either Tuesday the 31st (day after we arrive) or Saturday the 4th, the day before we leave. I am having some decision paralysis, as I know its probably one of the busiest weeks of the year. Originally I had planned to go Tuesday the 31st thinking it would be the better of the two options but there seems to be more hotel availability surrounding the 4th.
Has anyone gone around this time and could recommend a better option?
Obviously the most sane option would just be to avoid Disney during this time, but this is when we have time.

Touring Plans anticipates similar crowds in the MK on both of those dates.

Personally I would choose a Tuesday over a Saturday. With just 1 park day I would want to spend every moment I could in the park so would go fresh into our trip rather than the day before travelling home. I don't want to think about packing, prepping for heading home, etc. on the one day we have to enjoy Disney!

I'd pick Tues. Definitely it's going slammed no matter which day you go but I suspect sat might be a bit more slammed by people who can only take a weekend for easter and not a whole week.

The most sane option is not always the most fun option ;) Reading reports from those who venture into the parks during easter and christmas will prove that you can still have a magical time even when the parks are busy- just have a plan! (Even a basic plan like be in the park waiting at the rope drop and don't rope drop the part of the park early entry has access to will give you a nice start)

Thank you, this makes total sense.

Thank you and agree! My sister's family, my parents and I did do a Disney trip that over lapped with Christmas and we still had a great time.
