Our kitchen is next to our living room, which is a burnt orange color (not the walls). I thought maybe I could add that same orange color to the kitchen to bring them both together - would I paint the kitchen the same color as the living room (tan) and use orange in other things or paint the kitchen walls a light orange color? Does anyone have this color in the kitchen? Thanks!

We painted DDs bedroom burnt orange this summer. While her room looks good, I don't like the color and could not sleep well in that room! However, when looking at hues of orange, I found it was hard to find a light orange that stayed "burnt" looking. The either seemed to fade to peach or got bright orange (which around here is University of TN orange and that is a no-no in this house!).

If it were me I'd probably do the tan walls with accents of burnt orange. That color is everywhere right now! I saw kitchen towels etc. at WalMart the other day (that is unless you are a WalMart hater LOL )

Good luck. Picking paint isn't easy, IMHO.

My last kitchen we painted the walls a pale tangerine color called "Newborn". It was gorgeous. It looked different in the morning sun, afternoon sun, and evening lights. I got it at Lowe's, so it might have been their brand of paint....
