picked to open the park

we went got picked to open the park yesterday at IOA we were about 30 people back in line and they came up and asked us if we wanted to open it up and brought us in and took pictures of us and gave us a free 8x10 and had the kids read some lines and open it up it was neat we had been picked at AK but did not know they did it at universal

Congrats! That must've been fun for yourself and the kiddos. I didn't know this existed at US either, until one morning I decided to brave IOA for a pre-official-opening chance to visit WWoHP. I remember standing in line, and a few minutes til 9am they brought a family over to the other side of the lines and front of the park, and had one of the sons read the opening remarks. He was too cute, and their excitement from that opportunity made me giddy too.

yes it was great and today we were at AK and went to eat and it was my DD birthday and after we ordered or pizza they said they wanted us to be their family for the day and had a table set up with table covers and brought out all our food and were all singing happpy birthday for her 14th birthday and gave her a cup cake it was great been to disneya and US about 50 different trips and never had a trip like this
