I just got back from my WDW vacation and it was wonderful! The best part was that I finally go to talk to someone in person about my wedding.
On Tuesday DF and I met with Kristi Davis for a site visit. I was so nervous because I had no idea what to expect, but Kristi made me feel right at home and before I knew it I was talking non stop about all my ideas.
At first I wanted the ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion with a dinner at the Living Seas and a desert party at EPCOT. Since I had only seen a few pictures of Living Seas Kristi showed me a few more. To my surprise the more I saw the more I did not like that location.
I asked about the Napa room at the California Grill, and once I saw the picture I fell in love with it. Kristi took DF and I to see it, and it was even more amazing in person. The room has a fantastic view of the Magic Kingdom, and the best part is that there is a private outside area for our guest to watch Wishes from.
We also went to see the Wedding Pavilion, which I fell in love with as well. Seeing the spot where DF and I were going to say, I do made it seem very real all of a sudden and I really had to fight back tears.
So now we have a date, August 27, 2008 with the Ceremony at 5:00 pm at the Wedding Pavilion with a reception at the California Grills Napa Room.
Kristi said we could sign the contracts at 12 months instead of 8, which made me very happy (I asked her about 3 more times to make sure I was hearing her correctly). The only way I wont be able to get my first choice date if is a convention is booked between now and August. If for some reason it is booked I can still try to have the wedding on the 26th or the 28th.
Im so happy that all my plans seem to be coming together finally. I also want to thank everyone on this board for posting all the things that you do. I would have been so lost these last few months if it were not for all the info that is shared on this board.
