Well, I think we have decided on ASMU family suites for our 10 day free dining trip in Sept. (Assuming and seriously hoping FD will be offered!!) We are a fam of 5, me ,DH, DD 14, DS 10, DD 8. I originally picked POR as we love the atmosphere, but then I started thinking about sharing a room with three kids for 10 nights!

Please tell me some good thing about ASMU!

I have never been to ASMu butmore space may make for a more comftorable trip, ecspecially 10 days.

I've never been there either, but the layout of the suites looks really nice. I've been considering it for our family of 4 so the kids can have their own TV and bathroom. I bet you'll enjoy it a lot!:)

We stayed at ASMu last December for the first time. We loved it!!! I carried DS17, DD16, and DD's BFF. They had so much fun at the resort, it was a struggle to get them to go to the parks!! DS wanted to explore and the girls wanted to have their pictures made with all the oversized decorations. We were going to explore other resorts and then to MVMCP one night and the only wanted to stay at ASMu. I thought I was going by myself for a while but I finally talked them into going with me. The food court is great, but sometimes the check out area is a little congested. Well worth the wait though. The guitar pool is very fun! Needless to say, the decorations are awesome!!! There are movies at night and games by the pool too. On December 21, there were still people swimming since seasons in FL are a little different than most other parts of the US.

I hope you have a great time!!!

You made the right choice! We stayed at POR last year with 3 kids (11, 8, and 4) and while we loved the resort, we were a bit too crowded and would not go back there with bigger kids without another room. I more familiar with Sports and Movies and I think the values are a blast for kids.:thumbsup2

Just a word of warning that it is possible that the family suites may not be included in the free dining promotion if it is offered. If I were you, I would have a back-up plan and consider two rooms at ASMu or a room at POR. Both resorts are great choices.

I am concerned about this too...they were not part of FD last year. BUT, I heard from another DISer that they were able to book 2 family suites for this year's FD during last year's bounceback, so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

If they are not offered we will most likely go to POR.
