Pick up rental at MCO (9:30 pm) or take ME

Hello everyone,
I hope this makes sense...
Flying into MCO on Thursday night - flight lands at 9:30 pm. Have two rentals currently on hold. MCO pick-up is with Budget for an SUV. I also have a standard reserved with Alamo at the CCC for Friday morning - both cars are same price. Will be travelling with husband and 2 young kids. What would you do? Just hop on ME and let them handle luggage and worry about car in the morning, or get the rental after the flight at the airport? I don't really have a preference for the type of car itself.

Any advice appreciated.

I would go with the rental at MCO. Then I know I will not have to wait for ME if it isn't there right away.

I would rent from the airport. You are going to need to spend the time to get a car regardless, might as well get to the resort faster. You can then wake up and have fun instead of getting the car.

Also if the price is the same, why not get the SUV?

Do both.

Have your husband pick up the car from the airport, while you and the kids go onto ME and you will have the car and luggage delivery taken care of at the same time, even though your luggage may not arrive to your room until after midnight.

I would just go with the car. ME luggage can take several hours to arrive, and you will probably want to get straight to bed. Also, with the car you can drive straight to your resort and avoid all the potentially extra stops on ME. Plus you are going to get a car anyway. I had a flight come in at the exact same time as you at mco and there was not a long line at any of the car rental counters.

Yeah, I would totally forget messing around with Disney transportation!

If you have two small kids you will probably want to go with getting the car at the airport as well as retrieving your only luggage. Why wait up for your luggage when you can get to bed early and start your first day well rested.

Plus if you take the ME you might have to make sure you have night clothes in your carry to have on hand to put the kids to bed in. And anything else you need to get ready for bed like toothbrushes and paste.

Maybe I have just been lucky, but I have never waited in a line for a car rental that lasted more than 5 min or so. It has always been a pretty seamless endeavor for me.
