Pick two: Garden Grill, Coral Reef, Rose and Crown

We have never been to any of these restaurants, but want to pick 2 out of the 3. Which two would you choose and why? DH and DSF (stepfather) are big "pub" fans, which is why I thought Rose and Crown, but not sure how the food is (for the rest of us not on a liquid diet )

Any opinions are appreciated!

We love the food at Rose & Crown. Some of the best in WDW, IMO. The fruit and cheese plate and potato leek soup appetizers are two of our favorites, and people on these boards swear by the stewed mushrooms. For entrees, you can get anthing from fish and chips to steak and mashed potatoes to roasted vegetables in phyllo dough with saffron rice and mustard cream.

We also very much enjoy Coral Reef. Portions are a little smaller, the food is a little fancier and there's a wide variety of things to choose from, including several different kinds of fish, steak, prime rib and pasta. Plus, the view through the aquarium window can't be beat.

The Garden Grill was okay, but nothing special. If you have kids with you, they'll enjoy the characters, but the food is very simple fare, served family style, and choices are more limited than at a regular TS or a buffet. The restaurant does rotate, but if you're interested in the view make sure you're seated on the outside ring.

We visit both CR and R&C every trip; the Garden Grill we did once nearly 10 years ago and haven't really felt the need to go back.

Hi, Dh and I visited the Coral Reef on our last trip and because I love to see fish I really loved the place. We were sat in just the right place - not right by the window to the aquarium, but still on ground level. If you like watching (and eating!) fish then this is a great place. BUT ask to sit on the ground level near the front, or it probably won't be the same!

Garden Grill dh and I also enjoyed. It's character dining, with LOTS of food! Set courses I think in the evening at least. Good value for money.

Exactly my point. It does rotate, but it's just not that obvious, like the aquarium at CR, so I wouldn't really consider it a selling point.

DH and I really enjoyed Garden Grill on our last trip and are planning to go there again this time. We liked the food very much....good meats and veggies and not too rich which was a nice change to so many of the other great meals we were eating!

We went to Coral Reef on our trip in 2001 and didn't really find it to be anything special. We've not felt the need to go back since. I know alot of people really like it, but it wasn't for us.

Never been to R&C, so can't comment there.

Coral Reef (RECOMMEND) - for the atmosphere and view more than anything else. Like many Disney restaurants the service varies along with the preparation of the food. We have had good experiences with bad ones.

Rose & Crown - well you should have a liking for English food, since this is a basic pub food menu. You might want to check out its menu and determine what individuals in your group would like...if anything. I prefer the pub feel which is mainly upfront outside of the offical dining area.
