If you were to pick one of these three restaurants for a nice dinner, which would you choose, thanks

Three choices
Flying Fish
California Grill
Yachtsman Steakhouse

Yachtmans Steak House is probably the best for an intimate, romatic dinner for two, if you're meat-lovers. California Grill has the most eclectic menu choices, and the breathtaking view, but I find the service to consistently lackadaisical, and the paper table "cloths" aren't impressive to me. Flying Fish would be my personal choice, because I love seafood. It is a somewhat loud restaurant in my experience, as is California Grill, which is why I wouldn't necessarily choose either for "an intimate, romatic dinner for two".

IMHO Cali Grill is wonderful. Great food, attentive service and a terrific view... all make a special dinner even better!

maryann4086, aren't you forgetting something here? :confused3

I don't see the choices. I would pick:

Victoria and Albert's on the high end of the spectrum. Never been but hear it is wonderful.

Chef De France on the medium end of the price spectrum. Went there last year and found the restaurant quaint, quiet and very relaxing. The food was top notch and our waiter was so cute! The duck was exquisite but you didn't get much of it. I would stay away from the pate(blech).

50's Prime Time at MGM- Its a nice dinner with a wacky twist. You get tons of food with a little fun thrown in. There is nothing wrong with a "nice" dinner but at Disney you want something a little memorable. The wait staff won't "play" if you don't want them to.(see various threads on 50s antics). The pot roast is to die for and the meatloaf is so tender and yummy!

Both Chefs de France (which is among the three best restaurants at WDW, IMHO, along with Jiko and Artist Point), and Prime Time require admission to the theme parks.

There is a poll attached, are some seeing it and some arent? thats very odd

I see the choices now! They weren't there earlier though. I can't vote because I haven't been to any but wanted to check the results.

I have eaten at all 3 of these and enjoyed each one. But, having to pick just one, I went with Yachtsman Steakhouse. We have eaten there every single trip since they opened.

I voted Calfornia Grill for the view and the innovative menu. I would definitely reserve during fireworks. I've heard great things about Fulton's. It's located in the riverboat in Downtown Disney and has a great menu.

Flying Fish for the best food. Yachtsman for a more romantic dinner, CG has always had a ton of kids when I was there (including mine) :) .

Maryann what kind of dinner are you looking for?

All 3 places are "nice" in a different way.

California Grill is really good food and a menu that varies but is the most diversified of the 3. If you reserve about 1.5-2 hours before the wishes fireworks, you will be done just as they start. It really is a nice experience.
If you're looking for speedy, this isn't it. I wouldn't say the service was lacking, Far from it. It's really quite good. It's just a very slow laid back pace of dining. This is especially true compared to some of the other Disney places where it often seems like you're being gently prodded to go faster.
If you're looking for quiet romantic, this isn't it. It is a bit louder up there than I anticipated. Their really isn't much to dampen the noise up there. Though the lake end is less noisy then the fireworks end. And if you get that end, you can get up to watch the fireworks. About fireworks time, service is slow. They probably could have had dinner ready sooner, but they wanted to time it such that it wouldn't sit for 15 minutes while we watched, which was nice in the end.

I can't see poll choices if I'm not signed in...That might be it.
